Part Timers??? from BBC Website-

Dundee issue full-time assurance

Dundee chairman Peter Marr has refuted suggestions that the First Division club are to go part-time.

Marr reacted to recent rumours that Dundee were struggling financially by telling BBC Sport that the club would be full-time until the summer.

"We'll probably sit down with the bank before the end of the season to see what they are saying," he said.

"Obviously, every club has to have the backing of their bank and at the moment we have that."

Asked if the club would stay full-time, the Dens Park chief executive said: " We'll definitely be full time at the end of the season."

Dundee started the season as favourites for promotion after being relegated last season from the Scottish Premier League.

But Jim Duffy was removed after an indifferent start to the season and that has continued under new player-boss Alan Kernaghan.

But Marr continues to have faith in Kernaghan's ability to turn round the club's fortunes.

"Alan is really good guy and is working hard," he said.

"He's probably thinking January can't come quick enough so that he can bring some new players in."
