Just placed 2 slightly outrageous bets with Fred. Paul Paton first scorer tomorrow at 33/1 and Brian Easton first scorer at 100/1. Stranger things have happened!!

Why is it rich coming from us lot? Us lot just won our fourth national election in a row in Scotland. Labour finished third. Labour has ZERO chance of forming the next UK government, but if you want to waste your cash, go ahead. A better bet might be on the Tories getting a smaller majority than they expect - say, 50 rather than 100 or more. Something the media aren't talking about a lot is that the local elections translate to a Tory majority of just 48.

Do you have to wear a top hat on Derby day,as these 4ft odd ex jockeys look a bit daft with them being as big as themselves.

So who are the teams that are gonna come racing out the starting blocks?

Hibs are looking strong and the team that gets promoted up to the spl usually do well in the first round of fixtures.

anybody else?

Think Celtic might drop some early points this year. Agree Hibs will shock a few, more because of the manager than the team. On paper, seems a fairly obvious Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Perth top six this year, but there's always a surprise team, early on at least.

For those not going to footie this Sat. there is Carnival Day at Scone race course. Doors open at 11.30 with live music provided by UB40 tribute band.

1st of 7 races starting at 1400.

Folk are advised not to turn up without a ticket ( if only this was McD) as it's a near sell out, with less than 200 tickets left.

Yes I know, there will be cab horses and also-rans at McD.
