Stevie May got on for the last few minutes for Preston on Saturday.

There was still time though for more action and substitute Stevie May, making a return to first team action for the first time since his knee injury, was sent clean through on goal by Tom Barkhuizen. The former Southend goalkeeper in the Brentford goal again made a brilliant save, spreading himself to deny the Scot a dream return and it remained four, with the Lilywhites recording the three points.

Wee Nigel scored again yesterday for Excelsior and is having a bit of a streak. Wouldn't say no to his pace and inventiveness just now

Watched the highlights on TV. He was a sub, came on after around 70 minutes when the game was won and scored in added time. Nice wee cameo.
