BBC/Scotsman reporting that a 16 year old has been keeping Alan Mannus from a regular starting position:

"Newcastle United have joined the pursuit of 16-year-old Gavin Bazunu, who has been keeping Northern Ireland and former St Johnstone goalkeeper Alan Mannus out of the Shamrock Rovers team and has had a trial with Celtic, but reports in Ireland suggest Liverpool are also interested."

It is one of those classic Scottish football things. The punishment is different for every club that do it. Hearts will get away with it and only get a fine.

Spot on, 2 points deduction not 3.  Carefully calculated to give Hearts the chance to tie with ICT on 9 points thus either qualifying as group winners or with a pretty good chance of being one of the 4 best runners up.  Fine of 10k but 8k suspended.

Two points is what they “won” on the day. My guess is Hearts were treated leniently because they held their hands up straight away and said they would accept any punishment without fuss, pretty much as we would have done.

The match finished 2-1 to Hearts so they have gained 1 point (3 points for a win) from a game they have cheated in whilst Cove get nothing.
