Was there a Saints youth keeper called Neil Duffy?

If it is the same guy who is on trial at Elgin he has been getting rave reviews.

Yeah it's the same guy. He gave up Football to go to Uni in Aberdeen and is currently playing Junior football part time.

Conceded 11 in the past 2 games. Badly at fault with a couple on Saturday against Arbroath and same against Ross County - especially punching into his own net from a corner, but outstanding in the 1-0 win against Aberdeen a couple of weeks ago.

He's a good shot stopper and with a bit of confidence looks like he could fit in at Elgin.

Highlights of the Elgin games are available here

Dobbie joins York City on loan. Surely we could have borrowed him.

It's Dobie not Dobbie that's joined York City and we definitely don't want him back!

Apparently Dobbie could be on his way to Middlesbrough in part-exchange for Marvin Emnes.

City fans are struggling to understand this signing too. Dobie hasn't played for over a year, is on a 3-month contract and hasn't yet made it as far as the bench.

I can only think he's been given a certain amount of time to get match-fit and to prove himself in training.

Or perhaps Gary Mills accidentally googled Dobbie instead of Dobie...

Some of our forwards have been finding it difficult to find the net as often as they'd like, but I doubt if any of them are worried about losing their place just yet.
