Shocking forearm to the throat. The worst thing about the officials though was their inconsistency in how awful they were, especially with cards. Awful performance. Pie sports have seemingly also made a mess of a simple job of supplying food with a lot of it not ready at half time. A game that will not live long in the memory but three points and a game less. Ref was all over the place, County lucky to have 11 on the pitch, Stanton took some smack in front of the GB stand. Thought Stanton and Parton were excellent (would love to see Paton play just in front of Fowler). Baird, Diabate and Boyes were good, former 2 gave very little to County's giants very little. Smith was ok too but nearly got us into trouble a couple of times. We played some good stuff but quicker play will be needed on Friday. Was a pleasure seeing Kettlewell absolutely loose it with the ref after his players collapsing legs strategy stopped working. Almost nothing you can do to be entertaining against a side who are playing 8 men back and just firing endless balls up to their massive striker while wrestling anyone in blue who moves. Staggered we never got a penalty for Paton being clattered as hes about to tap in, even more staggered there was no red card at all. McPake was trying too hard....we could do with trying something else a time or two rather than keeping giving it to him almost all the time.
