    Congrats

On your comprehensive pumping of......... well I don't really know how to describe our shambles of a football team, pissed on us from start to finish. I'm totally despondent after our capitulation today but I'll never hide, there's not even a crust of comfort I can take from today so enjoy your gloating. Ah the best Web.

  2. One of the highlights of the day was the Coagies singinging "Shall we sing a song for you?" just as Liam smashed the ball past Fat rab the Scab. Totally pricelss and superb timing by Liam.

  3. What a great day. Standing and singing for 90 mins! Some cracklings goals. Tade was superb today and Liam and Chris Millar were superb also Dundee were awful and only downside was we only scored 3 goals Glasgow bus was a great laugh Gradme jones, Manny Panter and Peter Snarr chants all the way home. For those negative Sainta who claimed relegation, sacking of managers and useless players a few weeks ago gets it up you. Blue moon rising

  8. Could have been Gary Miller who looked very assured, Steven McLean or Tade but I went for Midge who won every ball in midfield & sent some delightful passes to the strikers only for that linesman to stick his flag up.

  9. Not a failure, but Tade is just awesome at working channels and on the last mans shoulder, and another great finish, absolutely tireless!

  10. No I am afraid I am a realist. Saints have a fairly small support. Saints are trying to encourage fans to attend matches and have buses leaving from the ground. Saints have a bar at the ground which is getting used by fans prior to the departure and probably when they arrive back form games. good business sense. The Barossa street page talks about the profit being made on the buses, I take it Saints are just covering the cost, Ideally all the Clubs should get together book the buses through the one person and leave from the ground. That way £5 a head more going and the Club benefits form bar takings.

  11. Well said Gav, that is pretty much how everyone felt on Thursday at the meeting. I am delighted that some saints fans are able to get a bus to away games for a fiver but the club should be doing it for other travel clubs that are putting money into saints. The j208 are putting in money by using the Muirton Suite as a base we are putting in @10 k per year from our fund riasing. Why should one get a subsidy and the other one get he haw and a load of bull.

  14. I don't think so. Over 25% increase in facebook likes in a month, getting close to 6000 likes and a lot more active. The twitter feed now has over 3000 followers, provides a great service to those who cannot get to the game. Saints on YouTube - Getting proper coverage to some of our players and back room team. don't confuse the issue with the buses with the general PR.

  29. We were so far ahead of them the scoreline gives Dundee too much credit. Excellent all round and should of had plenty more. Tade single handedly beasted every Dundee player that tried to defend against him. Can't see us having an easier game than that.

  31. If only Saints had the resources availalbe on tap that you all think they have. Infact if they even had a tenth of the resources some people think they have they would be a PR juggernaut, facts are that they have not therefore go to the places where they are making an effort i.e. Facebook and Twitter even if you do think they are shite.

  33. Great night up at the Muirton Suite for the first Saints quiz. 16 teams took part ( one withdrew and two didn't turn up). Thanks to all the teams who did turn up, thanks to Beve and the staff up at McD and a special thanks to Kevin Giles for asking the questions and helping me out with the running of the event. The winning taem were the Kirkside who were 4 points ahead of Right Said Frank. In third place were Tears for Souvenirs.

  34. Many people mock him, but 101Saints posts earlier in this thread hit the nail on the head. A football club should be ran as a dictatorship. The minute fans start getting involved with decisions, things starts to go wrong, as proved by recent posts on this thread. Hopefully Steve Brown will learn and everything will be taken back "in house" between him and his board of directors.

  35. As a Saints fan of some 47 year's some of the time has been bad and some good!I have backed my club where necessary , and have indeed been very vocal in the defence of the currant manager, much to the disgust of some ,and have even been accused of being a sycophant and in defence of everything the Cub does, despite falling out with the Former Chairman in my resistance to the closure of the former Supporters Club in the Dunkeld Road ,and vigorously demanding the removal of at least two managers in my time. Also very vocal when Saints sacked my favourite manager at the time in Alex Totten !For the last year i have been a member of The Barossa Saints Supporters Club and was indeed Chair and Home bus convener until the AGM.Now in that year people have worked very hard to get Fund Raising(For Saints, some £5000 ) Plus Home and Away buses to most games. It therefore saddens me to see financial Support coming from St.JohnstoneF.C to the recently reformed 208/Muirton Suite bus, i don't blame any of the people who run the buses, i blame Saints! If you are going to Subsidise one bus surely you have to do them all! It should not be one supporters bus against another but this is how things are developing, since the start of the Barossa bus, we have always worked in tandem with other supporters buses The subsidised bus idea has not been thought through thoroughly by the club and is already breaking up a hard working Committee, with one resignation over this fiasco ,and a house of cards on the Agenda! To make matters worse the resignation comes from the very guy who ran the bus! Did the board not have the foresight to reasilse that they were favouring a small section of the support over the rest. By all means keep trying new initiatives to encourage support, but I'm afraid this idea makes no sense, and i would plead that it is revisited before its to late. I am sure Steve Brown would not want this to affect relationships between fellow supporters Clubs ,and in fact some very good friends in this ill thought idea Gav Emailed to Paul Smith for attention of Stevie Brown

  37. Let's all really try and create a big atmosphere for this one, to give the players a boost and make for a great day out. Although Saints fans aren't always the best when it comes to all getting together and creating a party atmosphere, anyone who was in Turkey (and many other special occasions) knows that when the fans go for it, we can definitely do it. 38. Ghostie explained in detail what happened at Monday nights secret 7 meeting. We were told at the weekend that saints had paid for one of the buses leaving from the Muirton suite. We were also able to establish that the Muirton Suite bus will run for a fiver every week so long as there is at least 30 people on it, which there will be. WAP Barossa St was set up to put funds into saints through fund raising events. We need a strong membership and running buses to home and away games and having a base for saints fans in town is all part of making this a success. Through hard work and a lot of support from loads of fans this has been very succesful. We have already given saints £5,500 this year and our aim is to raise and donate at least £10,000 every year. In addition to the money that WAP Barossa ST have been donating the actual saints club at Barossa St have also stated that as profits increae they will look to start donating to saints again. They used to put in 10k per year. Ghostie was pretty incensed at what happened at the meeting on Monday. The rest of the committee and others in attendance last night are also very disappointed that saints have chosen to subsidise the Muirton suite buses. There seems no point in WAP Barossa St raising funds for saints only for saints to subsidise the travel of another travel club. That just does not make sense. Gary is writing directly to Steve Brown and we will meet again once we receive a response. Needless to say none of us are happy with what has happened but we will wait for a response from saints before deciding what to do. Ghostie has been brilliant, and is welcome back at anytime ,but we need to resolve this issue or there will be plenty of others taking the same stance. Regardless of where this ends up we are all saints fans and will continue to support the team.

  46. We did it to Caley Thistle last season so why not? I am stil la doubter (and I have his picture as my avatar!). One game doesn't make him a good manager but it certainly goes some way to buying him more time to prove what he can do. Ross County away is the perfect test for the guys. Take a victory from there and we will be singing their (the team and management) praises for sure! COYS
