  1. I have been meaning to write something up here for a while but I always found it hard to express my feelings. I think I found it hard to come to terms with it just like all of us. I think I was still searching for answers in my head, how was this possible, how could this happen to Walls? He was the happiest person alive. He truly was an amazing individual, in that he always managed to turn the conversation round to ask how you were doing and about our lives. I think we all have, well I certainly have learned a lesson that we cannot take people like Sean for granted. Just like many of us, I will always feel I could have done more to help Sean with life in general just like we all try to do with our friends. Of course we all never saw this happening but a simple how are you today walls will always show an interest. And hopefully from this Sean felt he was needed and wanted from us as a squad and as a friend. Today seeing his parents standing up in front of almost 500 people, was something special. The difficult time they are going through and to make a speech like they did give us all strength. It hit me about 30minutes ago, that today was a perfect send off for a special person. Seeing his parents giving those words today gave us closure in terms of there was nothing any of us could of done to prevent what happened but to remember the good times with Sean. I have known Sean for many years, played football in the park, for PSJ, played golf and a lot of University talk but I cant ever remember a time I never saw a smile on his face. When his dad came over to speak to the PSJ lads, you could just see how proud he was of his son. Our fantastic squad of players just shows that we are not only a team but we are a family. The support for one another has been incredible and the effort made to make it to his funeral has just shown that we look out for one another. Now that today is over we are now able to accept that he is gone but will never be forgotten. He may have only played for our team for 2 years but within that time he has established himself to be one of PSJ true greats. I hope from the time I have known Sean, he considered me not only as a good friend but as a person he could rely on because that’s how I felt about Sean. Sean 'Walls' Wallace you will never be forgotten. You are a true inspiration to us all. Rest In Peace

  2. Personally I'm really starting to like Steve Lomas. It's a man's game after all and whilst I can't condone his behavior, it's hardly a hanging offence surely. his first game in charge was at Ibrox and resulted in a ban. we have a very passionate fledgling manager who will learn and that's good enough for me. Tone it down a tad, but don't change too much Steve.

Seems the Chairman has had a word St Johnstone 1884‏@stjohnstone1884 Saints are unlikely to appeal the touchline ban handed to boss Steve Lomas, with chairman Steve Brown refusing to back his manager

8 games is an outrage. So lets get this correct Lennon can fight with All, call the SFA biased and get 4 games, Shileds can swear at refs call them a joke, clal the SFA unfit for purpose yet our manager has a player sent off with no TV evidence, does the same as Shields yet he gets 8 games St Johnstone = easy targets

  7. As alluded to in another thread we will be playing Livi OL on Saturday before Saints play away at Cowdenbeath in the Cup. I get the feeling this will be the easiest game getting a squad for that we will have had for a while, but early responses would still be appreciated. Okay, game on at 3G pitch at Coltness high school, mossland drive, coltness, wishaw, ML2 8LY. 9:30am kick off. Google maps reckons its about 1hr 25mins from Perth, so probably best leaving Tesco at 7:30am. Who's in? Aye - Nips, Rodgers, Dunbar, Stewart, Pops, Wee Lee, Rodge, Neil W, Nick, Barca, Dale, Jack, Pink, Elvis, Beej, Sob, Sully, Nelly Maybe - Naw - Stuart, Nuggets

Think Brown's comments are a bit of a smoke screen. All managers say things in the course of 90 mins. A bit disappointing Brown has made this statement. Sure he swore, naughty naughty boy. However, 8 games?????? Give us peace.

The sooner that Steve Brown pops his management sacking cherry the better

I agree. I think the squad is fine to be honest. I preferred Enks to Mannus, but wouldn't change much else. When everyone's fit, we've got a really good squad for our level and budget.

I actually saw it from the right hand side of the dug out and all he did was kick a bottle which hit a cushion. The cushion or bib bag went flying into the main stand, and was returned by the first aid woman sitting in the stand. The 4th official did not speak to him and the hibs bench even had a go at the 4th official for bringing the ref into it. Rik you seem to have a complete downer on the manager. Any particular reason??

I was quite chuffed to remember Josh Falkingham. Managed to forget all about Gavin Sawnkie though. No idea why.

a lot of this wouldn't happen if a defender stopped the attacker shooting

  15. Saints haven given Cowdenbeath a loan of our frost covers. Cowdenbeath are apparently optimistic that it will go ahead.

Passion is fine, but as a manager you have the learn to control it and use it to the benefit of the side, not the detriment. Yes, there will be times when it all gets too much and you do something you shouldn't, but there is a frequency with Lomas that is concerning. To be honest, if I was the fourth official with his whiny voice constantly in my ear, I would probably be looking for the slightest opportunity to get him the **** away from me

I utterly blame Steve Lomas for this injury! Clearly poor Robbie has not been getting enough calcium in his diet!

  20. I didn't know Sean. What I would like to say though is that all of you who did and have posted here have done his memory proud with the way you have presented him as a person and expressed your sadness at his loss

    Cowdenbeath V Saints

Hi Lads, not followed with the Edinburgh Saints before but keen for it this weekend. Hopefully the sun shines on the Cowden pitch. Hate a late postponement! Up for option A if it is still on the cards. Cheers.

Passion is one thing. Ill discipline and petulance is another. What does it achieve? Does the fourth official change his mind? Is the ref influenced positively? It's constant with Lomas and it is pointless. Right from his first games hes been in trouble with officials for swearing at them etc. Its not passion, its losing control, its unnecessary. You can show passion without behaving like a toddler and earning a reputation. Stupid.

  26. Mannus is still okay in my books. Still, no harm in Tuffey getting a game on Saturday. Get a bit of real competition for the keeper spot. Have some of you forgotten what a bombscare Enks was at cross balls, set pieces and his kicking and charging out of his box were suspect. Did you see him when he came on for Hearts against Celtic a while back? He was all over the shop
