Club confirm that Alan Mannus leaving Saints at end of season to go back to Ireland. He has been a fantastic player for us and was another of our cup heroes and played his part in our European adventures. He is a nice guy and was such a good mentor for Zander and the younger goalies. Great role model for young players. I will really miss him but so glad he played for Saints and did such a good job. Wish you well Alan as you return home. -

We are fortunate that we have Zander who in my opinion is a better all round keeper at the club. Alan has been a fantastic servant to the club over the years and deserves to go with our good wishes. Along with all the other cup winning heroes he will forever be a legend. Mannus did every bit as much as Macca and Ando in winning the cup for us on that brilliant day in May 2014. -

You missed the fact that the union bears landlocked the training ground shut and put an!knees over gates saying they deserve better. Oh and the fans are going daft cause it's rumoured they have signed 3 year kit deal with Hummel. -
2 pointsHe made it clear that he wanted to go back to Ireland with his family. This decision has nothing to do with saints wanting or not to keep him.

Halliday has a go at Murty. Candelis runs right up the tunnel. Docherty & Morelos face up. Miller & left back & captain fall out with Murty who goes in the huff & demands they get sacked. All after King more or less said Murty would be gone. Really shouldn't but really loving the fact that after all that money spent on signings & saleries for loanees they are imploding & probably deeper in debt. -

Macca, regardless of what we think of his current ability, symbolises the most successful St. Johnstone team there has ever been. Rather than debate Hearts’ intentions, our intentions or those of the hero himself, I want to focus on our favourite Macca Moments. For me, his flick back into Stevie May in the semi final, sending us into our first Scottish Cup final comes joint first with his goal away in Luzern. Plenty other options to choose from... -

Holy mother of God. The tee shirt argument starts earlier and earlier every year...... -
1 pointExcellent 'keeper for us and a real shame to see him go. Will go down as a cup winning legend and was vital in our Euro campaigns. Feels like we're gearing up for a big summer.

Should never admit anything until the evidence is beyond doubt well that's what my dodgy pal says. -
1 pointMannus has been great keeper for us sorry he is going, losing Alan macca and possibly muzz and midge all winners we will struggle without all these great player's for saints and all big influence in the dressing room, really hard and big summer for saints unfortunately to replace great performancers

1 pointSad to read the club confirming Mannus departure. Still one of the best keepers in the league. Looking forward, however, it is a sensible move as I feel Clark really needs to be thought of as the number one in the long term and to get a long run of games to get his game to continue to improve. You would imagine that also means Hurst will be the back up next season.

1 pointSorry to hear Alan Mannus is leaving at end of season. Another great servant to the club gone

Pity we weren't playing Hamilton or Thistle last week. Would have been good to have the whole ground united in a chant of "One John Lambie". -

Dunno. If he hates Sevco, that’s a decent start. -
1 pointOn the pitch the MacLean over the past couple of years is replacable. Bigger problem will be replacing him in the dressing room. Seems to me that quite a few of the strong characters are finding their time at Saints at an end and its that character that might be the biggest thing to replace. Going to be an interesting summer.

Who on Earth picked the venue for Off the Ball, very short sighted, this would have sold out many bigger venues as the reaction has shown. Surely the purpose of a testimonial is to make as much money as possible and this definately would have got many bums on seats. -

I always smile (nervously laugh) when he gets totally frustrated and commits a deliberate fighting/kicking foul, at times chasing the opponent 20 yards to strike him down. Never quite wild enough for a red card but always puts that moment of doubt in your head before the ref pulls out the yellow. Born winner! -

Ultimately I wouldn't look past his goal in the final, but my lasting memories of Macca will be the fact he gave 100% every time he wore our shirt. For a couple seasons he was exceptional and without him Stevie May's wonder season may never have happened. His link up play and intelligent work was superb that season. An all time XI player for myself after his contribution to our greatest ever team. I hope Hearts are giving him a nice salary in what is likely to be his last big contract. All the best Macca -
1 pointIs he from Peebles by any chance?
-
1 point1) Celebrating with him in The Crown in Peebles after the semi final ( which I had missed because I was flying back from holiday when the game was on) 2) In Lucerne post match along with other team hotel escapees. 3) Penalty shootout v Lucerne 4) Scoring against Hibs at Easter Road this season (yes there have been some good times this season) 5) THAT goal on 17/5/2014 6) The celebrations after THAT goal when he ran to the part of the ground where a large contingent of Peebles folk were. 7) Seeing the Peebles Saints flag on the pitch being held up by Stevie and his lovely kids is something I will never forget. To name just a few.
