  1. I agree. It's a shame some fans don't see what he brings to the team. He'll be well missed but if he goes he'll go with my best wishes.

These are team figures for the percentage of on target shots saved in Premiership this season: 85% Rangers 84% 83% 82% 81% 80% 79% 78% 77% Hibernian, St Mirren 76% 75% 74% Aberdeen, Dundee United 73% Celtic 72% 71% 70% 69% Kilmarnock 68% Motherwell 67% 66% Ross County 65% Hamilton Accies 64% 63% 62% Livingston 61% 60% 59% 58% 57% 56% St Johnstone If our goalkeeper(s) was even performing to the average, given how few shots on target we give up, we'd have conceded around 21 goals, as opposed to 33 goals. How many more points does that give us?

Can’t believe people are slagging off Clark and holding up Siegreist as something special when he let a header nutmeg him.

  4. So in the Top division in England over 50 years.... hmmm, back of the fag packet is 40000 matches... 17 goals from 50 yards... pretty rare!id say ‘rare’ hardly does it justice!

  5. Move Rooney to wing back and McCann moves to Centre Mid. Murray Davidson drops to bench as not been his usual effective self imo.

  6. Not after that miss against United. Would be quite happy for him to stay as wing back but not full back. If we can get decent money for him though I would be happy to see him go.

  7. My mate worked with Derek shunting on the rail and we had a few beers together. He told a great story about a meaningless end of season game where he was asked to throw the game and he would get £20. Can't remember who we were playing - an old first divison game but Derek said he was throwing himself all over the place to try and get out of the way of shots and the ball was hitting him all over his body and Saints ended up winning one nil. He was named man of the match!

  8. Don't know why everyone is raving about Shanklands goal. I thought Chris Kanes tricky little dragback through his own legs right on the touchline was a far superior piece of skill.

  14. David Beckham, Paul Robinson, *** Howard, Charlie Adam, Maynor Figueroa and Wayne Rooney, twice, have all scored from further away than Shankland did, so he will have to take his place in history. Not a bad effort though, admittedly, and he is in good company. No one said grudgingly!

  15. Thanks, glad you liked it! I don't know a huge amount about what happened to Marjory. She married a man from Dundee, so I guess her bad luck continued! She had one daughter and died aged 78. That's all I know. Just finished the first draft of the next one yesterday. Aim to have the final draft done by Easter.
