  1. I doubt it will matter too much. All 4 teams are relatively well known and once we know which of the two it will be, I'd imagine CD will be pretty glued up. Actually if anything, it might be an advantage as he will get to see 2 competitive games between both the teams. Obviously hoping for a really dirty game with loads of injuries and suspensions and a wee covid outbreak just before whoever it may be plays us. For me, would be best to avoid the PSV/Galatasary tie winner. Better for the glamour, but infinitely less winnable.

  2. 50 years ago, the heroes of Muirton, ventured into Europe for the first time (and I had the privilege of being at the home games). To our current heroes, whoever we play......get right intae thum, make us proud - We are Perth ya bass.

  3. I see Rangers/Sevco an ouncing that the press have to become partners in order to attend matches at Ibrox. they have also stopped the press from attending friendlies at away matches. £25k for a year. For a journalist and photographer to attend matches and get 5 exclusives. Surely SFA and SPFL step in and stop this before it impacts on sponsorship deals. Money grabbing at its worst. What the papers should do is boycott it and Rangers and see who misses out

You are probably correct they will want total control. Planting reporters in the crowd would not work as they would stand out from the normal clientele if they took notes whether electronically or in notebooks. Grunt grunt - "who he, what's that thing in his haun"? "He's no singing FTP, must be fae ra Sun, get him flung oot"!

  6. I'd say there's still two attacking players to come in tbh, plenty of time to make sure they're the right ones for us. I'd be devastated if we signed him.

  7. Ha ha, oops. Possibly the only way he can be stopped from word domination as a manager is for him to be out of it!

  11. If we're not going to get Middleton back, it's going to be tricky finding a similar player who can add pace going forward, can hit a free kick and gives us a big impact option when coming off the bench. I'd love to be able to bring him in ahead of the European games as I think he could make a big difference, but at the moment that seems to be looking unlikely. Looking at how our squad's shaping up so far I'd say we look stronger at the back with Muller and Devine now here, but at the other end we've lost Middleton, Conway and Melamed who all proved to be important with scoring or providing goals at various points of last season. From looking at that, and also watching the Preston game, my main worry for next season would be that we're still going to find it a struggle to score goals without some good attacking additions.

  12. Want away from home first irrespective of who we get, hopefully keep in the game there then get them back to McD. irrespective of which one of these we get they are likely to treat us with contempt in the first match thinking they will stroll it. And remember according to Sevco fans we beat the most successful team in the world on our way to winning the Scottish cup so none of these should hold any fear.
