    Half Time at Easter Road

As many of you will have seen on St Johnstone’s Facebook page my 5 year old nephew Ryan done a lap around the Easter Road pitch at half time on Sunday He is raising money for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity who have looked after him since he was born and will look after him in the future He was supposed to run 1km in the junior Edinburgh marathon last year but because of the lockdowns it got cancelled a couple of times so it was arranged that he could do it at Easter Road In the end he ended up walking around instead of running as he was giving everyone high-fives around the pitch and people were handing him money! The whole family would like to say a massive thank you to all the St Johnstone fans who clapped him as he passed the away section and handed money to him. Between both sets of fans he walked away with £177. He’s been high as a kite ever since We’d also like to thank St Johnstone Football Club who advertised his fundraiser on Monday and to everyone who has donated online since Edited by Mod to add donation link: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/weeryankerr

    Half Time at Easter Road

The highlight of my day seeing that ‘wee face’ … your family must be very proud, Ryan is a credit to you all … wishing him good health always.

I could see your point if he'd been there for six months, but it's only been a few weeks. He's going to have to prove he's better than their starters, just like Vertainen is having to do here, for example. I find it really strange that anyone would have expected him to walk straight into their starting line-up. I've no idea what the situation is with Christie but he's a far more experienced player than McCann, and perhaps he was arriving at Bournemouth at a time where they desperately needed someone in his position.

    Saints Summer Transfers 2021

Disappointing end to Hendry’s Saints career. His goals practically kept us up or at the very least out of a relegation fight. I’ll always be grateful to him for that. It’s a shame it didn’t work out as by god we need a striker who can score!

    Zander

We can however be a breeding ground for Canada, Malta, NI and any other forward thinking nation that can genetically tie a player from Saints to their nation! **Edit** Zander of course is Greek, tying back to Alexander the Great, and literally means defender of men. He'd have to oust Odysseas Vlachodimos though, but a solid number 2.

    Zander

The only surprise is that fans are surprised that Zander has been dropped for a fifth rated keeper at Rangers who would have been sent off in his last 2 games if he was playing for any other club.

    Zander

On current form, Zander should be an automatic second choice - Gordon is rightfully number 1. That would normally get you a few cap over time. The idea that he is, at best, 4th choice is ridiculous and bizarre. And, as someone said, if Marshall got a loan gig with Rotherwednesday Rovers or whoever, he would probably drop to 5th.

    Zander

It looks weird from the outside, but yeah, we don't know how Zander did in training. Maybe Liam Kelly aced it and Zander just did okay. But from the outside it looks strange to have McLaughlin and Kelly in the squad ahead of Zander (who plays behind a similar defensive system and has played really well in big games since the Scottish Cup Semi). And obviously it's not Steve Clarke's job to care about this, but because Jason Kerr's moved away in part because he doesn't think he'll break into the Scotland squad at Saints, it's incredibly frustrating to see Zander out of this squad especially when he's out of contact. It actively harms our chances of keeping players if the impression they get is of Saints harming their chances of a Scotland call up. (On another note, you'd have thought Ralston and Watt would be in with a shout for this squad)
