  1. As many of you will have seen on St Johnstone’s Facebook page my 5 year old nephew Ryan done a lap around the Easter Road pitch at half time on Sunday He is raising money for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity who have looked after him since he was born and will look after him in the future He was supposed to run 1km in the junior Edinburgh marathon last year but because of the lockdowns it got cancelled a couple of times so it was arranged that he could do it at Easter Road In the end he ended up walking around instead of running as he was giving everyone high-fives around the pitch and people were handing him money! The whole family would like to say a massive thank you to all the St Johnstone fans who clapped him as he passed the away section and handed money to him. Between both sets of fans he walked away with £177. He’s been high as a kite ever since We’d also like to thank St Johnstone Football Club who advertised his fundraiser on Monday and to everyone who has donated online since Edited by Mod to add donation link: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/weeryankerr

    Zander

I don't think the reaction is just about this one instance of Zander being left out. It's about year after year of seeing top-performing Saints players being left out. You're maybe right about Kelly v Clark being a toss-up, but why does it always have to be the St Johnstone player who loses the toss-up? I have absolutely no doubt that there's a long-running unconscious bias against St Johnstone players that stretches back through numerous Scotland managers. It comes from exactly the same place as "Perth's not a football town" and "St Johnstone are in a relegation battle every season".

  3. He turns 28 this season and is playing in the 4th tier. Highest level he's played at is the 2nd tier where his record is 17 goals in 67 games. What makes you think he'd be worth spending a fee on?

    Zander

McLaughlin has played more league games for Rangers this season than hes missed. Kelly v Clark is a toss up tbh, both solid keepers capable of the spectacular. Not entirely sure why theres such a meltdown over whether Clark sits on the bench for the games or if Kelly sits on the bench. Clark is clearly now in the thoughts of the Scotland staff and I'd feel pretty confident in thinking hes 4th choice for Scotland as it stands. If McLaughlin drops out Rangers side again then I wouldn't be shocked, if Clark keeps up his form, to see Clark above him again and back in the squad. Time is ticking for Craig Gordon who turns 39 in a few months too. Plenty of time and further opportunities for Zander. His foots in the door now so he just needs to make sure Steve Clarke keeps looking through it, and he'll get his rewards.
