Good post, the fact that there are two teams and two managers involved in a game of football is often forgotten. A related point is the front foot good, back foot bad philosophy we often hear. These expressions come from cricket and are misunderstood by many commentators. As a batsman you decide to play forward or back depending on the length the bowler is using. Many attractive shots are played off the back foot. Attempting to play off the front foot to the wrong ball can have unfortunate consequences. In my case it got me well on the way to an upper denture.

I don’t think the question should be how many goals have the strikers scored. I think the question should be how many chances have they missed. I would say very few and therein lies the problem. The way we are playing at the moment I think Ronaldo would fail to score very many.
