  1. Colt teams shouldn't be in the Lowland League. The pyramid was created so teams could rise up through achievements on the park, not so top flight sides could just chuck their reserves into the 5th tier and block the progress of clubs below that.

  2. 100% this Jeanfield Swifts are top of East Premier just now, I ve watched 3 or their first 4 games and they re excellent value for the £8 admission. They ve been top end of league last few seasons, IF they can win league, then navigate through play offs against West of Scotland league winners and South of Scotland league winners to get promotion, they deserve something better than a collection of B teams that have bought the way there. Having two is bad enough without more. It’s very hard to win your way into Lowland league when only one out of three league winners go up.

  3. Lots of ifs and buts there. You must struggle walking down the street worrying about all the things that could hurt you.

  5. This is how I feel too. B-teams completely devalue the leagues they're in and it should never have been allowed.

  6. I honestly can’t see it. I don’t think any club would be willing to pay our minimum demands until he’s proved himself in the Scottish Premiership over a longer period of time. Regardless, by that point, we’ll hopefully have made use of Stevie May’s wages (amongst others) in addition to the Rangers cup match income. If we needed to strengthen any further, we’d have the opportunity to find a free agent or two after the transfer window closes. Aside from the lowball Swansea offer, there are no other offers on the table for Sidibeh and there haven’t been any whatsoever. The transfer speculation has been entirely drummed up by his agent and Pete O’Rourke. We’ve got to take a step back and consider why there’s been so much apparent interest in him compared to someone like Kimpioka who is younger with a slightly better goalscoring record and more experience of senior football. The Courier is genuinely speculating that Sidibeh might sign a new contract here as well, so it seems like his representatives are just scrabbling for more money as quickly as possible, regardless of how they manage it.

  8. For me it feels a bit like we're heading towards losing him at the last possible moment of the transfer window and not having time to use the fee on beefing up the squad. Weirdly, it would almost be better for us if he had a crap couple of games for the next few weeks, to put suitors off until the window closes. I still think it would be better for him to stay with us at least until the January window. If he hits a good number of goals for us between then and now, the offers coming in for him will be more lucrative than the ones likely to be on the table at the moment. But of course as a footballer you never know what's around the corner and it must be tempting to just grab a big offer when it's available. Still remember everyone thinking another big offer would come along for Danny Griffin after he turned down Derby, and it never did.

  9. Boils my piss. He's a finisher. Good in the air and the penalty box and playing anywhere else totally ruins that.

  11. I think Wright's been quiet the last few games due to not having a Keltjens type FB behind him. He definitely looked better in the 442.

  13. Very likely on tv for which we get £18,000. In the unlikely event we get knocked out our prize money is £60,000. So minimum is £78,000 plus share of the gate. Its a neutral ground and Rangers have a European tie on the 13th of August. I think we can bank £250,000 from this and move on to playing Spartans in thd quarter final.
