  1. Was convinced we'd come back and win that game with 10 men. Don't know if that's a reflection on how pish Dundee United are or otherwise but just had that feeling. What a team performance, from Zander all through the back 4 and midfield and Zippy and Macca. We'll always make mistakes and lose daft goals cause that is just where St. Johnstone are. We'll lose games we should win but one thing you can never accuse a Saints team of is being bottlers. I can't remember the last time I left a Saints game complaining about the lack of determination or effort.
  2. Has to be Macca for the three goals and the assist and general all round play. Playing with that swagger again. On any other day would have given it to Cummins. The effort the guy put on, even when 4-1 up was immense. He was subbed just after dashing back into his own half to make a good tackle, that sums him up.
  3. Got the Groundhopper App, which is great for keeping tabs and has a mahoosive list of games going back yonks that are easy to input. Think, according to that, I'm sitting on 96 grounds, but I've still to add a load of games from the 90's.
  4. 6-5 Saints Sutton 4, Scobbie 2 (both flying volleys from 26 yards). Motherwells goals all Scobbie OG's
  5. The bus is great value generally there is no doubt and I'm more than happy to pay more than 10 quid for Dingwall or Inverness because ultimately it is good value for money regardless of the comparative cost of taking the car. The point I'm making is simple though - I'm absolutely not willing to accept criticism for choosing to drive to the Dundee grounds when even the further away games probably cost me, personally with a family of three as stated, more than taking the car.
  6. Yes you did. But it wasn't you anyway dude.
  7. Don't really agree at all. If I was going alone then the bus would always be the number one choice but even for places like Glasgow I can take the car much cheaper than the bus given that there's always at least 3 of us. However, I absolutely support the bus for games everywhere else apart from Dundee and Dundee United, and that's my choice and evidently many others make the same choice. Having folk having a go, including at the stadium yesterday, is bang out of order. It's all down to circumstances and with a family of 3 yesterday I'd have been close to a hundred quid if I used the bus. No thanks.
  8. No I agree. Not hitting the panic button at the moment though there are more worrying signs than ever before. Might just take one result to set us away. Just hope it comes sooner or later.
  9. We'd won 2 of the opening three last season so you're talking nonsense there!
  10. Poor stuff overall. We were nice and tidy up to a point, thought Macca and Cummins were asked to work with next no nothing but both actually did ok. Two terrible goals to lose again.
  11. To be fair I try and support the bus and probably use it for 4/5 away games but it's difficult to justify for Dundee and clearly a load of folk think the same - that's why we made the initial decision not to run a bus to Dundee. I'm not arguing either Ghosty.....
  12. Ghosty my motor will do Inverness for 20 quid. No problem with 2 or 3 in the car. I want to support the bus all the time but I'm not prepared to chuck away 14 quid that I don't really have.
  13. According to the Saints programme it's a gut called Manny Fowler.
  14. We did say........ Bus will cost me 24 quid on Saturday can drive for a tenner or so. 14 quid is 14 Ghost man.
  15. Muzz was head and shoulders above anyone else in the team. The guy is incredible I'm so happy we gave him a chance again despite his injury woes. And to think some on here as recently as the second half of last season said he was completely finished and we should release him.
  16. Really want to see us start with 2 up front again but set the midfield up to try and help the forwards rather than often being miles behind the play. If O'Hallaron can start to find late runners with his runs and cut backs we'll score many more but need guys like Muzz and Liam bursting a gut so that they can get attempts away and then give the forwards any opportunities that might come from those attempts in terms of rebounds etc.
  17. Tam was ahead of the County player and had an opportunity to skelp it into the stand but dwelled and allowed the boy in. Absolute horror defending. A similar thing happened with Easton later in the half and he used his body brilliantly to nullify any threat. Tam is a good defender in terms of blocks and tackles, especially last ditch and brave stuff but when he's pressed to make a choice he more often than not makes an arse of it.
  18. I'd absolutely defy anyone who says Caddis is any worse than Spoony or Lappin. He's a player I really want to see us play more often. He's better than Lappin for sure and probably more useful than Wotherspoon. There I said it.
  19. They've clearly no eyes. But let them be, it's maybe the only time they get out.
