Ah I was looking for the American that used the team as a play thing and they went under.  You did say he’ll mend them so I’m curious?

Like any successful business at times you need to be risk averse and invest if not you will stagnate and your competition will take over.

Running a football club cost neutral is fine but you then need to curb your ambition and fan expectation.

Somehow the latter since 2014 has not been in play.

Think you'll find since 2014, and particularly this summer,  they have done very ****ing well at curbing expectations.

Yep, read my previous posts. They don’t give a toss about the kids unless they have value. £20 to a senior is like buying coffees for the car share, for the kids it’s totally different.

What about the £1000s invested by parents over the years to help their kids? Honestly unless you are the lucky one or two the clubs do not give one.

But they never had the £20 in the first place.

Just wait till they find out about tax and NI.

Did you invest thousands on the premise that your boy would get free lunches? Hopefully the new owner/whoever it is in Chattanooga (?) will invest in sandwiches for the young team otherwise he'll have you at the door to answer.

In my opinion the negativity for Kane stems from the role he plays in Tommy's 1 up formation, it does not suit his style of play. Also the number chances he misses.

On the positive side he gets himself into a position where he has the opportunity to score and his work rate is second to none.

But like all centre forwards, he is judged on goals scored not his work rate.  .

This quickly turns in to a negative though, when he consistently fails to score.

I don't want to be just constantly slating the guy but it's clear he's not good enough as a striker at this level. Just trying hard isn't going to cut it.

Might be a bit unfair for this to be on this posting however....Saints now charging the full timers £20 a month for their lunch. The young lads got their wage slips with a £20 reduction (to about £540 a month) for "catering". No warning, no communication, just done. First, charging them anything is a scandal, second doing it without asking I didn't think was legal. Any views?

If they train five days a week that's £1 a lunch. Cheaper than mine, lucky bastards

He will sign next week, with McMillan's contract being ended by mutual consent.

The talk of a loan deal is a non starter, but serves a purpose that it indicates that Saints are still interested in May. Don't think for a second that Tommy doesn't use the media when he needs to.

Would expect Anderson to go too, depending on Gordon showing he has fully recovered from injury.

Tommy will also need to do a repair job on Kane's confidence. Feel for Kane as when he came back from QOS, he looked full of confidence and hungry, but that seems to of evaporated over time. He is suffering from not having a proven goalscorer alongside him.

And a complete lack of ability to put the ball in the ****ing goal

    * every year we are in the top division is a HUGE success. people have short memories.

Could be doing better though? Or would we be happy being Hamilton, toddling along finishing 10th/11th, because we've been in the second tier before so should automatically be happy with anything above that?

Just spotted this. If any fellow Aberdeen Saintees fancy, could make this the first meeting of the "club"? Meet someplace for a pre or post match pint.

Know of 4 others up here who are all saints, good name for a band if we can't get a supporters club off the ground

I'm still keen on the aberdeen saints supporters club idea

Think there is enough interest to get this off the ground, does anyone know a saints-friendly pub in Aberdeen? Or indeed a local pub that we can make our own?

I can't wait for this. Big game. Let's hope we prepare correct with no distractions.

Who ever scores first will win. 1.0 Saints.

Any chance we can appeal the 2 red cards for Foster and Swanson so they are available to play this game?

Any appeal would completely undermine any punishment handed to the pair.

And I would doubt they'd be allowed to play while suspended by the club anyway.

This one alludes to it being a thing on the day rather than a build up.

"Wright added: “They have shaken hands now. They have been really foolish and they are probably embarrassed.”

    Exactly.

    Heat of the moment incident.

Neither is "too big" for us.

Neither think they are too big for St Johnstone.

Yes this was embarrassing. Will we forget about it if we win on Wednesday?

    ****ing right we will.

St Johnstone is the priority. Then now and always.
