  1. I got that as well (well me and my bro did - we got shared main Christmas pressies as parents didn't have much dosh). Also around then went to Lumleys in Sauchiehall Street with my mum for my 'replica' kit - it was kind of. A neighbour worked there and she said she'd get it for me - big flappy white John Connelly collars - and I got a pair of Adidas Bamba that day (couldn't afford Samba until I had my paper round 2 years later). Austerity today .... ???
  2. Seppo "Well boys - how we going to be able to get all the bootiful loot from the Quataris and give them the 2022 WC when they got bu**er all at the moment" Lacky#1 "it's just a pity they don't have a bit longer than from Dec 2014 when we'd being announcing that they'd won it" Lacky#2 "True comrade - another four years and they'd have it sorted" Seppo "That's it boys - we'll make the announcement for 2022 at the same when we tell your boss, Lacky#2, that Russia have 2018 - that'll give Sheik loads-a-money the four more years he needs to get everything in place. And if anyone asks why we're doing this - well we're FIFA and we don't have to give reasons for anything we do - besides it'll prevent the English think they can learn from not getting 2018 to go for 2022 - suckers that they are" Lacky#1 and Lacky#2 together "SORTED - you are a genius boss!"
  3. Well done Saints - we deserve that for the season so far if not, by the sounds of it, today's performance. Onwards and upwards...
  4. Don't know much about losing our identity - when you'ra a Glasgow born lad like me (with a mum from Dunkeld to explain why) - our kit doesn't matter too much. We are Saints. I used to struggle to get a replica from Lumleys in the early 70s - but I got a top that was for me SAINTS. I would wear it at school and I was only one of two Saints supporters in a school of about 800. The other was Alex ??? - I cannae mind his second name but a great goalie - he'll be 51 - anyone know him? - lived Glasgow South Side - Mearns way.
  5. C'mon lads - keep calm - the prize is within our grasp. We can do it - one more push and we're at the top of the hill - conquerors of all we survey.
  6. Just got it to work. First right-clicked to zoom to full screen - hung about for a few minutes - then it appeared full screen but cropped in the original window - so right-clicked again to zoom to full screen - and hey Alan Preston - it worked.
  7. I'm all goosebumps thinking about this afternoon - add an extra cheer from me some time during the game. Cmon saints - do the biz.
  8. Isn't this just fabby-doo everyone!! We are going to do it - at last - eventually - we are!
  9. Let me think ... OK John Connolly - no only kiddin' HENEREE|
  10. I was trying not to be too greedy - but what the...c'mon Airdrie
  11. Almost too good at the moment - but it doesn't have to end. C'mon Saints. C'mon QoS.
  12. From Farnham down here in sunny Surrey - c'mon the Saints
  13. I may be on the golf course down here in not so sunny Surrey this afternoon - but my heart and soul will be in McDairmid Park.
  14. guys, guys, guys and gals. We are atop the league. If we win, we win, if we lose, we lose. All worrying and conjecture here isn't going to make a h'worth of difference tomorrow - so let's just all send +ve vibes to the boys and hope they pick our nice cuddly thoughts up and go do the business - AGAIN! Tomorrow we will still be top of the league.
  15. Whatever!! If we were managerless I'd have PS back.
  16. Ah - the Liverpudlians posing in front of us all yet again as the worlds greatest grievers. Break us gie please.
  17. I'm working away from home and live in a hotel 3-4 nights a week. So I 'read' Sun, Express, D Mail (ALL crap), and the Times. I get D Telegraph to my room in the morning as I'm a bit of a leftie and I need a bit of right of centre stuff. But the DT sport is good. As is the Times. And I read the Herald and Glasgow South and Eastwood Extra (well you did ask) on-line. Oh yes - and the Oban Times :-) Come on the Saints - all the way unbeaten to the end of the season.
  18. Look lads and lassies - my English club is Pompey - yet another chucked away game - so Saintees keeping going, keeps me going. Next half doz games will do the trick.
  19. I'm going to be watching the game on BB1 Scotland via Sky - get it right up them boys.
  20. Yup - not bad at all for a day off - and if I may digress - well done Mr Murray in the Tennis! Christ it is funny if you read some boards how much some English say they can't stand him because he proclaimed a wish that anyone beats England - don't we all - whether we truely mean what we say.
  21. Rats - but as said - another point in the bag and one game closer.
  22. I use henryhallsdanceband (HHDB) elsewhere on other message boards and nobody has a feckin' clue what I'm on about. I just have a wee picture in my minds eye of Henry merrily dancing his way around defences back then with the rest of the boys being his backing band (as it were). And as they say (well I do) - you cannae take the P out of HHDB!
