If we had more fans going to the game and supporting the team it wouldn't be an issue. The club are not locking out 10,000 St Johnstone fans here. 
 
As mentioned we would not have the quality of the squad without the financial decision.  I don't like giving them three stands but the reality is we are a club that for whatever reason still does not have a fan base that is big for our stadium capacity.  It would be a different story if McDiarmid was say 6000.

Was really pleased with Steven on Sunday

I agree 100% with all you say.
Regarding Fowler I think we need to give Simo some credit here; he’s really came on since some insipid performances last year and the press are all over Josh at Hearts probably making the Scotland squad, he too looked to be lacking something before he transformed in to a match winner. 
I might be wrong but good managers can really bring out the best in precocious talent.

No idea what the Police were thinking allowing the group of Hibs ultras to just stay in the car park for the whole game. Looked like there was ongoing scuffles between them, police and stewards most of the game. Should have just gathered them up and had them back on a bus or train to Edinburgh well before the game had finished. 

How good was Fotheringham yesterday too? 

That would be the first issue that I would be raising with the police if I were Adam Webb or Fran Smith. Why did they just allow them to congregate directly outside the stadium (drinking and intimidating others) for the best part of two hours after being refused entry. 
Very little the club could have done to prevent that situation yesterday. Blame should solely sit with the police.

There is a lot not to like about being back in the Premiership, but days like yesterday are what being back in the top flight are all about. Always a great feeling beating one of the bigger clubs on our own patch and then watching and reading the meltdown from supporters of the opposition team after being beat from a "team like St Johnstone".
I felt three players particularly deserve credit after yesterday performance. Taylor Steven has been really impressive since he came on against Hearts at Tynecastle. I will be honest, I didn't think he had what it takes to play at this level and envisaged him being on the bench and in the stand until January before moving on elsewhere. He has been given a chance and has really seized the opportunity. He was finding pockets of space yesterday which was causing the Hibs players lots of trouble and the quality of some of his passes and crosses were outstanding. 
Maybe I am just not that good a judge of a player, but Josh Fowler was another one I had doubts about going into this season. I was worried that he lacked the physicality to cause problems against Premiership defenders, but he has been really impressive so far this season. Still early days, but to have been playing junior football a few years ago to now being the top goal scorer in the Premiership is a great achievement. I thought he caused Kerr and Hanley no end of problems yesterday. If he can continue in this run of form and get us 12-15 goals this season, it would go a long way to making it a good season for us.
Finally, Jason Holt has been colossal since the start of the league. Its not hard to see why Simo has so much faith in him as our club captain and the man who sets the standards. A class act on and off the pitch.
Lets hope we continue to fly under the radar and see where it takes us. Coming up to two years since Simo was appointed as our manager and he has transformed our club. 

I thought Fotheringham and Alic linked up really well. Caused Hibs all sorts of problems.

I think we will see the proof well before we eat our Christmas Pudding!😜

This was suggested a while ago at a forum and I’m sure Roddy said fans wouldn’t do it, but there’s no way he can know that.
If season tickets went up say £50 to £75 but it meant we kept the East Stand and limited old firm to two Stands, I’d happily pay it.

Bring back reserve team football so those under 21 can play mens football not just age related groups.  Would make the step up to first team far easier

Maybe judging him on the likes of McCann , Kerr , Gordon etc that came through the youth system here but there was a hunger and desire from those players I just don’t see in Taylor 
Hope the lad can prove me wrong

I am old enough to remember the UEFA cup tie between us many years ago and was in the crowd at old Muirton Park. We were fortunate to scrape a late 1-0 win at home but it was apparent it was not nearly enough as we were up against a  class side. We had a few really good players then but in particular I recall a guy on your side called Josip Bukal (sp?) who was a very superior player.
No real surprise we got severely humped 5 - 1 in Sarajevo (I was only 15 at the time so no chance of going to the away leg).
Was one of OUR best ever lineups...given you won your league soon after it was also probably one of your best ever sides.
