Yeah dont think they watched the same game when they rate the players. Or are you commenting on the fact that someone Googled stalemate and forgot to take it out. May lowest score out of all our players. Thats some sort of joke. He made their keeper pull off a great save from that header and thought he played well without having many opportunities.

No point appealing the red, I don't think that would get overturned. In real time I thought it was a soft yellow but in fairness we were far away. Watched it back and I can completely accept it was a yellow so the referee got the decision right. Should have been left at that. Why VAR had to get involved is beyond me and issuing a red was wrong. If you play it back slower than real speed it looks worse but football isn't played at that speed. Yeah it looks sore but there was no intent.

My impression was that the £5 Hibs game was successful. I only heard positivity towards it but then I don't read Hibs fan forums. Would season ticket holders really have a big issue with this for the occasional game. If they communicate it properly, explain what they hope to achieve and bring it up in one of the meetings they will surely get a feel for whether or not it's something season ticket holders can get behind.
Perhaps they feel that they won't get enough extra Saints fans in seats doing this to make it worthwhile. You can't even give away tickets some times. I do think it would get extra away fans in and its not just £5. They will spend in the food kiosks.
 

Didn't expect VAR to stop all controversy in Scottish football but it seems to have gotten worse. You expect it to help get game changing decisions right but it's not happening. Even when it's there for everyone to see they are still getting big decisions wrong. As for the handball rule, it needs sorted, what a farce.

It's currently got a big sign up on the back that says GS Brown Construction Stand. Although I think that may have been to get around having that big GS Brown sign up. Agree though, it seems appropriate they have a stand named after the family that have done so much for the club.
 
 

Great to see Spoony play in the world cup. What a memory that will be for him. Another fantastic memory for Saints fans as well. Thought BBC could have done a bit of research and gave him a better introduction. A number of clubs including Dundee got a mention when Jason Cummings came on for Australia in their first match I think it was.
Thought we might have got Scottish born, plays his club football at St johnstone etc...
 

Under 18s game was decent. Saints look like they have a good under 18s side, lots of really good players.

I was very impressed by Canada. The athleticism and the pressing was superb, didn't look like Belgium could cope. Didn't deserve to lose and it was just that final product that was missing. Was crying out for a Spoony chop on the edge of the box. I was waiting to hear his intro by the commentators.

I did indeed. Would have even been better if it was a Saturday 3pm,  hate Sunday football.

Can't see much of a change to the lineup.
Thought CD came over quite well in interviews after Saturdays game, rather than over emphasizing what a great win it was he said no point in winning games like Saturdays if you can't do the same in midweek. At least we know they are looking for the win.

It was only a few weeks since Brown hit the bar with a shot from distance. This has been coming, first touch was great, finish was fantastic. Would like to see more efforts like this from players all over the park.

Would expect next weekends game to be off as well. 10 days is the Sunday, funeral might be the Saturday.

Will be interesting if we approach this game the same way as the St Mirren game. Kilmarnock are another team we should be playing with confidence against and getting more bodies in the box. I have no doubt that against Celtic etc we will approach it quite differently, maybe rightly so. Hopefully we will get some more points on the board before then.

Watched both the Celtic and Rangers Champions League games as I was quite curious how they would both get on. It was very much like watching the Old Firm against a less well off club in the Scottish Premiership except the other way around and Rangers and Celtic were the club with the financial disadvantage. Of the 2, the way both teams performed was very much how you would expect from what we've seen this season. I thought Celtic played well but Real Madrid were absolutely clinical in the final third. It played out just like many SPL games we see every week. 

With the Champions League money Celtic and Rangers are getting the gulf in resources is only going to widen. Heavy defeats like this could unfortunately become quite normal. Perhaps 9 is more than most teams would lose but not surprising given recent bad results for United. Saints lost 7-0 in 2019 and 2022. This kind of result shouldn't be season defining. Brutal for goal difference and bad for morale but I predict many teams getting a 5, 6, 7 nil defeat this season again.

Wasn't at the game but it sounded like Saints had a bit more of a go today and still lacking a striker that can regularly score. Commentators suggested Saints played okay. Still hearing a lot of biased commentary though on the radio with a lot favouritism today towards wanting Hearts to do well, not much different from when we play the old firm. Not once did they mention how important a point or a win would be to Saints, just what a massive win it would be for Hearts.

Must surely be some young striker down south that would be worth a punt on loan. We've never had a problem bringing in young defenders on loan. We will never know if a young unpolished striker could get us 10 goals in a season if never given the opportunity.

When is Kane expected back anyway. Able to win free kicks and always causing defenders problems, good hold up player. Actually think he is badly missed in the squad. Think with the right service we could get a decent number of goals out of him some season.

Listening to the BBC radio commentary we have biased pundits saying at 1-0 they would like to see Rangers up the tempo and score a few more and put the game to bed. What kind of impartial reporting is that. It's meant to be a domestic league game, fair enough if you are supporting a Scottish team in Europe you can be impartial.
We also must have a new striker because the commentator talked about someone called Blair anytime he touched the ball for 60 mins.
