A lot of stuff has already been (accurately and correctly) said. A game we played at walking pace for 90 minutes, barely breaking I to a jog. ALWAYS played the "easy" ball backwards or sideways. Several players given opportunities just didn't take them. Valakari said he signed Finlayson in part for his crossing ability - I think I counted 3 crosses, the rest of the time it was turn back and pass it backwards. Boyes did his usual "I think I'm better than I actually am" nonsense. Fowler was mainly anonymous but the lack of support really didn't help. It's only been 5 days since Tait signed and it's been an effective 5 days - from looking promising against Morton to being fully assimilated into the pass back or sideways collective only 3 days later. Paton being suspended was so preventable - his antics against Morton and Linlithgow were just sheer madness, opposition teams in the PL will see this and target him for it. If we go into the PL with this squad and this mentality/tactics, it's only going to end one way, and it won't matter how good the view from the Premium section of the stand is, or how many old firm fans they pack in. Thank goodness the club realised this and have worked uber hard to keep the fans onside eh? 🤔 It says a lot when the biggest round of applause was for when David Wotherspoon left the field after being substituted. He had a quiet game, only a half chop, but at least was able to pass the ball forwards.
