Sometimes hear talk of the "family" club and I think that's a factor, that while we can't really afford the best players in the world (not to take away from those we have) they all come together and give 110% for each other. I remember saying a few years ago that what we may lack in quality, we more than make up for in attitude!

What Callum has achieved, in his first year as a manager, with such a small squad and budget, is really outstanding. Never mind Jason Kerr, should we be worried about other clubs courting Callum?

Good to see Rooney starting, and the Kane/Melamed combo. Not really a "must win" as such, but certainly a "would be good to win!" Expect a tough game, County to be well up for it. Obviously can't control what happens elsewhere, just have to go out and give it their best shot, no pressure!!!!

They've got a cheek, the state of Easter Road lately. Maybe it was the presence of grass that put them off?

Also worth remembering we held on with several players having played 3 full games in under a week, they'll never have been so glad to have a free weekend!

Agree with above, would like to see Melamed and Kane start, they do seem to work well together, but I guess that all depends on how Callum wants to play this one. Also hope to see Rooney back in if all is ok with him. Wonder if, having each already played two full games this week, maybe Liam Craig and/or Spoony will sit this one out?

Can see this being a tough one. Hamilton have a habit of doing enough to stay up, but they really need to start doing it now. Imagine they'll be well up for this, just hope we don't get complacent on the back of the cup win.

Just saw on facebook*, apparently this is the first time this century that a Scottish trophy has been won by an all Scottish team. *Caveat: Can confirm that all who played for Saints today were born in Scotland, have not researched further to confirm if it is a first.

Suspect if Rooney wasn't already on folks radar down south, he will be now. Year to go on his contract so would hope to keep him, but if an offer is made? Interesting update on his wiki....
