  1. Cheers! Glad that is the case. It did seem strange, as a company based in perth you would expect would like the club, and this is clearly the case!!! apologies if i assumed... Now lets get back to building the excitement for Saturday!!!! *** update since breeze's reply*** Crystal clear! I have only been on the forum for a while, and didn't know the history. Makes sense now! FYI, I was replying to the forum the OP mentioned, which can be found in the link below, seems to be out of date and beint spam botted!!! http://www.stjohnstonefc.co.uk/forums/forum-view.asp?fid=4
  2. I am driving from Aberdeen on Saturday morning, planning on pubbing it and staying over in Dundee... If anyone wants a 1 way lift then PM me, happy to take the coastal route if needs be!
  3. Fair dos, apologies to Breeze if this is the case.... In any case, the club could at least have forwarded the domain to the new site? Makes no sense to me, but then again, I work and live in SEO and websites all day long...
  4. I already have my Scotland flags looked out to add to the occassion....
  5. Basically they are running very old forum software that is easily spammed! Personally I am disgusted that the club had to change their domain name, as their old web developers obviously went in a huff over something. (not sure what happened, so cannot comment either way) If we ever registered a domain on behalf of a client, they would always own and control that domain. If anyone at the club cares, get in touch with me as I know a fair bit about domain ownership, and what your rights are..
  6. Good news! Just phoned the ticket office, and it is possible to order by phone tomorrow morning and pick up later in day. Worth noting for those who work during the day!
  7. I cannot get there myself, but pulled a favour from my sisters boyfriend to go for me! hopefully there is a rush tomorrow, and the fever spreads throughout rest of perth. We filled their stand last time, no reason why we won't sell all this time!
  8. Remember there are loads of people like me waiting desperately until tomorrow to buy tickets.... I think the word is out!
  9. Any other vouchers going spare? I can get my brother to meet in perth to get it. pm me if anyone does... stuart
  10. Anyone got any idea how sales are going? Managed to get someone to go on Thursday afternoon to try and get some, and will be gutted if they are all gone...
  11. I still think that they left it too late, and could have given the club time to at least give out vouchers at todays game, but hey ho! Living in Aberdeen it will be tough for me to get tickets unless they take phone bookings. Fair enough that season ticket holders get first dibs, but for people to me who have been to all but 2 games (home and away included) it is gonna really hurt if I cannot get my hand on a couple of tickets. Fingers crossed.
  12. Just back to Aberdeen after the game. Keep the faith. The comeback was like our last game in Dumfries, and we should be credited (and remember) that if we get behind the team we can do it. Positive thoughts!!!
  13. Call me cynical, but do you think they deliberately timed this release to be just before todays game??? Probably not enough time for Saints to give out vouchers to those attending today....
  14. I guess 3000 or so. Leaving Aberdeen now, cannot wait for this one! Stu
  15. Depends how you look at it? Suppose it is the warm up, and it cannot do any harm to get behind the team to try and ensure they win the game.
  16. At the moment, Partick are beating Morton 1-0 with 15 mins to go.... Saints HAVE to turn out tomorrow, and WE need to get behind them big time for a win. I know you all know this, but lets REALLY get behind the boys tomorrow.
  17. Overall, It is a lose lose situation no matter what happens. Remember last game when a couple of Dundee fans ran on the pitch when they scored and there was the potential for many more to do similar. How many police would be required to contain them in the derry especially if things get heated in the final moments, they scored and invaded the pitch
  18. Kinda off topic here, and doesn't affect us grownups.... so bear with me! I really do think the club should do all it can to get the Ormand stand filled again, even if it requires a Partick Thistle effort of Free entry for kids. There are SO many Saints of my kinda age (22-28) who used to get free tickets to many games in the past, and over the last 2 years started to come back to all the games. For the future sustainability of the club, this excercise should not be underrated. In all this seasons games, I havent been to a single away game where I haven't bumped into at least 5 people who I used to go to school with in Highland Perthshire. The reason we all still go is definately due to the free games we used to go to when younger.
  19. It all makes no difference to me as I travel from Aberdeen to all home and away games, so an extra few quid makes no difference to the huge costs involved over the season.
  20. As a Saints fan who moved to Aberdeen in 2000 and only managed 5-10 games a year in the past, I have managed every single home and away game this year, and I can definately vouch for this. It is amazing how happy and friendly everyone is when your team seem untouchable. Last few games when we have scored have been hilarious seeing male, female, young and old randomly jumping around hugging and kissing each other. Me and the girlfriend travelled to Dumfries for the 3-3 game, and I think the loving atmosphere certainly added to the occasion.
