  2. Shanghai, chips are reheated shite, some are so rock hard you can't eat them.
  3. Not liking the pin stripe at all, although away kit looks better than home one. I just don't see why the club don't let the fans decide on the strip, it wouldn't take much. Put up a poll on facebook or the official site with the choices we get from Joma. Or let fans design a kit during the season and submit the winning design to Joma to see if they can give us a close match from their current range.
  4. I'm all for bringing in new players and freshening up the squad but we do need continuity and players who feel secure at the club. Remember the days of old where we would ship out so many players at the end of the season and bring in almost an entirely new squad, it never worked because the players didn't get a chance to gel and learn to work as a team. What we need is a core of players in early to mid twenties who we can rely on to be consistent and have a future at the club, then we can look at letting the older players go and use those squad positions to freshen things up.
  5. Just back from Germany where I took in a Bundesliga match between Hertha and Frankfurt. They know how to police and do security at an event! Stewards help people to their seats and just watch fans in case of injury or fights. The Ultras are encouraged to sing, jump, sway arm in arm with their mates, fly flags. They have a MC and a sound system of their own to encourage the rest of the fans to sing, a drum section etc. No trouble whatsoever, probably because stewards wouldn't dare enter the Ultras section, BUT it worked. The police looked bored but there was no need for them. The stewards respected peoples want to have fun and everyone got along fine. Our lot...think they attend to provoke and create trouble and look for issues that aren't there.
  6. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-tayside-central-39028871 Seen this today, if they find him and then make the tourist attraction, it would surely be another nod towards the city of culture.
  7. It is pretty bad for a museum of Perth yeah, although it can depend what's on show. The Egyptian exhibit a couple years back was great, they had their own mummy on display which is a rare sight these days because of it's fragile condition and age, as well as the mummy which had gone under tests and scans to determine it's age, the sex of the person etc. Think this year they're having a Lego city, not sure if it's Perth in Lego form but might get the kids in the door. If they could show us items found in Perth!! it might make locals and visitors more interested. I mean we have the bronze age log boat they found on the Tay. There has got to be findings from the many ancient hill forts or fort bertha surely, they have findings from the fields at the location of the battle of Luncarty which involved the Vikings. How about when the shopping centre was getting built, or finding Cromwell's Citadel under the south inch car park. Also the ancient burial found whilst making the car park for Noahs Ark driving range. It would be a hell of a lot more interesting than bits of wood or art nobody can figure the hell what it's meant to be.
  8. City Hall is going to be a arts and culture centre, they're mentioning an exhibit featuring art of John Fergusson which I don't understand as surely that's what the Fergusson art gallery is for? I imagine it will display some items from the museum which is to close at the beginning of 2018 for a £10m makeover. I'm hoping with the City Hall and Art Gallery focusing on art and culture it will leave the museum to tell and show more of the historical side of Perth and show finds from around Perth.
  9. Try living near this lot, nightmare! Maybe you don't see them on a daily basis, but they're a disgrace. The council are doing something worthwhile and preserving part of what could be a great looking building. I just worry that it will become a place no one wants to go because it's unsafe.
  10. I wouldn't be against the council spending money on building a block of flats for them away from the city centre. There's no point in spending millions on the centre if it's lined with junkies who roll out of bed at St Catherines and are begging on the high street or stealing from shops in less than 5 minutes.
  11. We need to get him signed up to a long contract, at least 2 years but would feel safer with 3. He's got so much potential and you know he'll catch the eye of a bigger club sooner or later. Wouldn't want to see us miss out on a good transfer fee.
  12. That's what they're doing, basically gutting the inside and leaving the walls and the clock tower. The space will be a "performance area" probably meant for buskers but can see the junkies using it for begging.
  13. If that's true and banning orders are being placed on members then why? if it's for criminal offences then fair enough but you'd then expect them to be bad enough to make the news and see people with charges placed against them and up in court? if it's only young lads creating a bit of noise and an atmosphere then it's a damn shame, the powers that be once again squeezing the life out of the Scottish game. The club seem very quiet on them so do they even see a problem? I would hope there would be some communication between the parties involved before banning people completely. The last thing we need is less people going through the turnstiles because they're trying to support the team and have fun.
  14. I heard a chopper really low but it seemed to come over the town and leave not long after, maybe the fog was too thick for it to see anything?
  15. Nice try, it is indeed Blair Alston from last year.
  16. Dunns has been owned by Greyfriars Art Store for a good few years at least, they have a couple of shops in Edinburgh. They must just be putting them all under the same name.
  17. Stevie seems to be getting more game time in his recovery but think it might be a bit early for him to go on loan anywhere no? with it being such a serious injury, can't imagine his club would want any other medical and physio team mucking about with his knee.
  18. So businesses are doing the same old stay open for Christmas and first days of sales and then shut up shop, the high streets gonna look a bit bare if USC, Ness and Watsons are gone but can't imagine they'll stay empty for long due to their position on the high street. Wouldn't mind seeing USC become a McDonalds or something, room downstairs and upstairs for tables.
  19. How can anyone criticise Stevie for the way he left the club? he'd done pretty much all that was possible here and still gave it his all until the day he left, never said a bad word about the club either. The move wasn't also about money alone, it was a chance to go play in England at a higher level and with the right club could get to the Premiership. MOH on the other hand...went to a club who we could consider rivals for a league position, nothing too amazing about Rangers, just money. It was obvious he became a moody shit near the end and his mind was only on one thing. We do miss his pace but he was turning into a one trick pony with his running to the line and cutting back, I imagine it would have only been a matter of time before teams stopped him.
  20. Don't usually like to speak ill of the dead and I'm sorry you've lost someone you call a friend but Mond was a well known dealer and well, from what I've heard he caused the overdose and death of a male a couple of years back but nobody would grass him up to the police because he was their dealer.
  21. Sense charity shop on the high street wont be renewing their lease which is up next year. Hear the shop is barely making £60-70 on a good day. The premises are in urgent need of repair by the owner, uneven floors, no heating, leaky roofs etc. Staff always complaining of only having one electric heater for the entire shop. Whoever looks to take that on will be in for a shock.
  22. As in closed down? they're too feckin expensive for what you get. Anyone know anything about Panda Garden? noticed they're not on Just Eat anymore, my favourite Chinese
  23. Thought it was Joules who were in advanced talks to take over the Mcewens building? As far as I can see John Lewis was only suggested by a local shop owner in the courier, no actual evidence to suggest they actually are interested.
  24. I'm all for the city hall staying ONLY if they can get the stone of destiny and turn the building into a tourist attraction telling the history of the stone, kings etc. Perth really lacks a 5 star tourist attraction in the centre and it's something that would appeal to a huge range of people. If that isn't possible, bring it down.
  25. Was it not junkies that set it on fire last time? same as the Waverley.
