  1. Indeed - 3-1. Looking like an ESESaintees double!
  2. I believe there are a load of buses no longer required and all available for hire in the Aberdeen area....
  3. Well done to every last one of you. Love the enthusiasm - and hopefully be worth all this planning. Proud to be a Saintee and us all sharing this exciting time. # May17
  4. Brilliant. Let the club know and he should get a day as a ballboy or some other recognition. Well brocht up Montrose!
  5. 'It's only half time' (after Rosenborg away and after Minsk away)
  6. And another great quote from Tommy Wright from the STV website about the Class A Eejit that is Chairman of this lot. Quality Tommy, quality. Jim "Some of the things he says could be quite easily contradicted but he can rant and say all he wants, Stevie May won't be going to Peterborough. "I had a short conversation with Stevie yesterday and he told me he wouldn't be going to Peterborough so maybe that's why their rant came about. "But I have a football club to run and he's got a Twitter account to run so we'll just leave it at that."
  7. Very pleased with the way Saints responded to the Peterborough Chairman's twitter nonsense yesterday. Saints - dignified and professional as ever. Steve Brown has learnt a lot from his father clearly. Never felt more comfortable about our future than at the moment. And REALLY excited to hear that we are trying to extend Stevie's contract. Everything crossed he signs, we put all of this unsettling transfer talk to bed, and Stevie goes on to score 20+ goals this season and secures a move to the English Premiership in a year or two with Saints getting a couple of million in the kitty. COYS!
  8. Yep - that is my fear. Peterborough are flying at the moment and he certainly won't walk into their team - so a move there to a relatively 'small club', will little media exposure - even by League 1 standards, where he is unlikely to play, doesn't seem like a good move to me. However, if a 'bigger club' - a Leeds or a Leicester or someone like that came in who were in the Championship, that's a different kettle of fish. If he plays and scores at tannadeechee on Saturday, don't think it will just be Peterborough who are interested....
  9. Yes - I agree with you here. The other side of course is that there are also lots of examples of 'promising player heads South' and then disappears. It's a gamble for May either way. My hope is that he stays for the season. When I go to the fitba', I want to a) see Saints win and be entertained. I believe Stevie makes a) more possible and he already ticks the box on
  10. Beggars belief. Seems you were at a different game. Nigel is the wee black guy who played on the wing - were you getting him mixed up with the Ross County guy with the big ears?
  11. Don't have the stats but agree. I think it's the result of better man management from Tommy - Lomas was a headless chicken in that department and it often transferred to the players. In Tommy we trust
  12. Yep John - couldn't agree more. I have more against the Adams family than Brittain (who I now see as an irrelevance - albeit one who earned us 40k smackers). Adams is probably the most odious manager in our game (and I thought nobody would ever surpass Rowan Alexander in that regard). Really buzzing about Saturday already and the chance to stick it right up Adams Jim
  13. Well said Thomas-sjfc. Who cares about Brittain anymore - done and dusted, we got Wotherspoon and we've had a magical adventure in Europe in the meantime. Let's get behind Saints 100% and just give them a right good gubbing! Jim
  14. As Honest Saints Fan says, 'your loss'. Face facts - this is the best period of our history which may NEVER be repeated in our lifetimes. Your season ticket NEVER covered European games - indeed, the discount on the Rosenborg game was the only benefit you could ever have expected. If you don't go, you won't EVER be able to say 'I was there' - remember that. £25 is a lot of money - no argument - but Saints are not a charity and need every pound from fans. If you simply can't afford it, then you have my true sympathies. If you can and are just 'making a stand', then, to repeat, it's your loss.
  15. Ross - keep up the brilliant work. The quality of SaintsTV gets better and better - and the frequency of the videos seems to be increasing too. Given that I can now view YouTube on my telly, it's like having a proper Saints television channel on demand. Last night I enjoyed reliving the Eskisehirspor game from last season again. Ross - your contributions are going a huge way to helping the club's PR and bringing our wonderful club much closer to its fans. Saints generally have upped the ante this season in PR terms - the FB page is now updated so often it's a 'must read' and I'm looking forward to the launch of the new podcast. Credit where credit's due - as well as Ross, Paul Smith should get a lot of credit for his efforts. COYS! Jim
  16. Tommy has impressed me hugely from day one - and the last 4 performances have only enhanced his reputation. His tactics have been spot on in every game so far - and his signings have been great (though still not sure about Rory!). He says the right thing, has the whole playing staff onside (Lomas anyone?) and is 100% realistic regarding budget and living within our means. He is also extremely likeable. When I bumped into the team at Edinburgh Airport on their way to Belarus last Wednesday morning, Tommy was happy to have a quick chat and was the perfect gentleman. Jim
  17. Ach, let's do both - nights like last couple of weeks and win the damn thing!
  18. I'm not sure if I've woken up yet - still living this amazing dream where my wee diddy club have won twice away from home in Europe in 15 days and are staring the chance to play for a place in a league that would provide European football through to Christmas........... Oh, and just in case you need the ammo, we've won more games in Europe in 2 weeks than Old Rangers did in their last 4 years' of existence....; COYS! Jim
  19. Excellent news - direct from the horse's mouth (Richard Gordon's anyway!!): Richard Gordon ‏@RichardGordon481m @jeccles621 @bbcjimspence Uncross your fingers Jim, your prayers have been answered. On air 4.30pm 810mw
  20. Yep - still seems to be the case - reply below to my tweet to Richard Gordon this afternoon: Richard Gordon ‏@RichardGordon4829m @jeccles621 @bbcjimspence From what I gather we have been attempting to negotiate rights since last week but no word from Belarus end as yet
  21. Anyone heard any more about whether or not we'll get radio commentary? Last I heard (via Jim Spence) was that they were in talks yesterday to provide commentary - and are all set up to do so (with Spencey commentating and Rodders providing the co-commentary). That would be tremendous. Will send Spencey a tweet to see if it's going to happen Jim
