  1. It's public knowledge that it would be desirable for SLomas to trim our squad.
  2. The bus will leave The 208 at 12.30pm for our trip to Tynecastle. Phone 561020 to book seats.
  3. I work for the public sector. I do not get flexi time. I work very hard and always acheive my targets. I choose not to pay into the public sector pension scheme. I am not in a union. I will not be on strike next Wednesday. I'd like to thank those who are striking though (particularly in Education) as it gives me the chance to catch up on some work I have fallen behind with because I do not have the time to do it during my normal working hours.
  4. I've always been a fan of Ando's. I remember at the tail end of season 2006/07 asking Ando why Mr Coyle wouldn't give him a regular starting berth. He just looked at me bemused, smiled and said "I dunno...". But here we are, over 4 years later and Ando's still with us and arguably our best CH. He won a few POTY awards last season and deservedly so. He is fulfilling the potential a lot of us knew he had. Mr Levein. Are you watching? Do you really think Gary Caldwell is the best we have? Really?
  5. There are still 13 seats left on our bus for Castle Greyskull... Saints have sold just over 150 tickets for Steve's first game in charge so still plenty of tickets left if anyone's undecided... They're on sale during office hours at McDiarmid Park tomorrow and also on Saturday morning till 12 noon. Your team needs you! Phone 561020 to book seats. Leaving at 12.30pm.
  6. The bus will leave The 208 at 12.30pm for our visit to Castle Greyskull and Mr Steve Lomas' first game in charge. Please phone 561020 to book your seat.
  7. His immediate targets for BCFC are a central defender and a creative midfielder apparently...
  8. Back on topic please guys and gals...
  9. The chariot will leave The 208 at 1.30pm this Saturday for the short trip to Tannadice. Please phone 561020 to book seats.
  10. Our Gaffer could sell sand to the arabs and snow to the eskimos. He is very self-confident and self assured and believes in what he is doing. Gives it 100% all the time. Nothing less. I know Bristol have yet to offer him the post but I'm sure he'll give a good interview and he won't accept the post (if offered) on a whim. Remember, he's already turned down Brentford - albeit a smaller fish in a smaller pond - but even that was a much 'bigger' job, worth more readies than what our beloved SJFC could ever offer him, both as a wage and as a bankrolled football team. Stating the obvious but he'll take the job if he believes he can save them and get them moving up the table. I'm confident he can do it which unfortunately for us leaves us managerless for our visit to Tannadice this weekend. We're due a win against that ignorant fud Mr P Houston too... Typically, we'll get it this weekend. I would so love Mr McInnes see us get three points there before he leaves us... He deserves it.
  11. Just had time to catch my breath after a hectic four weeks...belated happy birthday to my auld mucker, Gertie. It's been a great week in Alicante, back in time for 3 points v ICT at McDiarmid, then yet another road trip in the Jeanfield 208 Ladies minibus to Nando's, Stirling for a birthday get together for Gert with the Ladies. Any excuse, eh? I'm putting my feet up for a week. Goodnight. zzzzzzzz:cool:
  12. Alicante was fantastic! Our villa was fantastic, the company was fantastic, the fact that we all got tickets to see the game was fantastic, the 0.69Euros a litre wine fae Lidl was fantastic (according to the drinkers...) the weather was fantastic, the cook was fantastic:wink: and the result was...well...not unexpected.
  13. I have it on good authority that Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer are looking into making a 2011/12 remake of their 1978 classic film 'Coma' with D#ndee FC in the starring role...
  14. The chariot will leave The 208 at 6pm for our midweek trip to Easter Road. Phone 561020 to book seats.
  15. The Jeanfield 208 Saints bus will leave The 208 at 11.30am for our first visit this season to The Methadome. Phone 561020 to book seats.
  16. Versus 2 x 10 men for much of the second half...and we still couldn't score.
  17. ...are wrong... ...Aberdeen (a) Glasgow Rangers (h) Dunfermline (h)...
  18. It's funny how a 'sliding doors' moment during a game can make some fans turn on a player, eh? Don't get me wrong, I'm sitting here gutted tonight after today's result - my head is full of 'coulda, woulda, shoulda...' moments from this afternoon's match but we lost, hopefully learn something from the manner of the loss and we move on. Bring on Sandaza and bring on Celtic.
  19. It was a wind-up by the sponsors. Liam is certainly not the worst player we have on our bill, not by a long shot...
  20. Should any members require seats on the Jeanfield 208 Saints bus for this game please phone 561020 to book. The bus will pick up at Barossa Street at 12.45pm and then pick up at The 208 at 1pm.
  21. The bus will leave The 208 at 1pm for our eagerly awaited first trip to Celtic Park this season on Sunday 21st August, kick-off 3pm. Should the Barossa Street require any seats we will be picking up there at 12.45pm en route to The 208. Please phone 561020 to book seats.

I'd want £20k for each and every Scotland cap Muzz receives up to, say, his first 10 caps plus I'd want £10k if Glasgow Rangers FC win the league and another £30K if they win the Europa League. Don't see Geoff settling for anything less to be fair. He's very astute.
  23. Erch, i have 8 x bus money for you for the boys' seats. Do you want it in advance of the 10th or can they pay on the bus?
  24. Loads of regulars I know didn't go to the game yesterday simply because they haven't renewed their season tickets. I understand ST sales are well down on last season. and iirc last season's sales were around 8% down on our first season back in the SPL.
