  1. It would be such a shame if Chris's time at the club ended badly Great servant and a genuinely nice guy. Oh, and HSF, if you only deal in facts then put them into print and stop trying to be all mysterious
  2. Interesting, because not so very long ago the chat was all about how Muz and Pats together in the middle doesn't work
  3. Agreed. Seemed to have the measure of Lawless, who looked to move deeper and infield to get away from Foster
  4. First half hour was pretty dull, but for me that was okay as it meant that we were stifling Thistle, something that we have struggled to do to them on many occasions Its a strange one as I thought there were a lot of good individual performanes (Spoony, Pats, Muzz, Ando, Foster, MOH, Joe) yet it didn't feel like a great performance overall. Were some good attempts at creativity that just didn't come off. If they had, and if we had shown a bit more composure nearer the end and got a second goal, then maybe that would have achieved the great performance level Great result at the end of the day and lets us go to Celtic next week with little pressure
  5. Really sorry to hear this. A true Saints character Looked like a farm hand, played like a lion RIP Joe
  6. Whether a dive or kicking the ground, both 'fuddish'
  7. Now I've seen highlights on big screen, their second sending off was deserved Cummins is a fud
  8. You've both probably shot your load too early
  9. I'll give Cummins the benefit of the doubt here. I think there was contact (accidental or not doesn't matter) and that he tried to continue, but the contact affected his stride leading to him stubbing his foot and falling over That is certainly not diving As last man, the guy probably had to go, although what's the new law on no penalty and sending off?? By the laws of the game, the other two reds (second yellow leading to red in one) were probably right, but I hate that both of these led to reds If a keeper clearly knows that they are belting out their box and handle the ball to prevent the opposition player getting in on goal, or wipe them out, fair enough. Saturday though was borderline and a yellow would have sufficed imo The other was just a good old fashioned solid tackle I would be feeling well pee'd off if I was a Well fan. Would we have won anyway? Possibly- we were 2-1 up prior to the incidents, although I don't feel we were as comfortable at that stage as some seem to think. If Well had equalised, my feeling was that they would be the more likely team to go on and win As for those that are using yesterday's result to have a go at those concerned with our striker options, have a word. We won't get breaks like that all season long, and Mikey won't get two goals every week
  10. Aye, very good You know what I mean, or at least anybody with half a brain would Wouldnt want you to miss out on an opportunity to be a smart arse however
  11. As much as folk over reacted to the Thistle defeat, we have to be wary that two wins and top of the league doesn't mean that everything is just tickety-boo Good win today, but does it really feel like we pumped Motherwell 4-1?
  12. MOH for me, as well as his goals his tracking back defensively was good today Love Paton's commitment and obvious joy in playing football Mannus played well today. Handled crosses well, with only Ando's header fooling him and leading to their goal, and made a couple of other good saves. Close second for my vote
  13. Every season I expect Motherwell to do better than they end up doing They look decent this season. If we are flat, we could lose heavily, but if Tommy gets the team and formation right, and we click, we should win
  14. Goals from midfield is a great thing to have in the team, but you can't rely on that I am seriously concerned, and have been for some time, about our striker options. We need that guy that will take as many chances as he misses. Cummins' and Kane's ratios must be pretty poor and you only get the best from Macca when he has a partner that can read a game....neither of the aforementioned fit that bill I'm afraid.
  15. It's analysis like above that refs/linesmen should be subject to
  16. I'm much happier with Foster at right back, with cover / competition in Comrie than I am with our left back situation
  17. I can't see it, unless Levein is told that he has to change his role / approach as I doubt Tommy would like operating with so much interference He could of course see it as a further learning experience, at a 'bigger' club and take what he can learn from CL
  18. Massive pressure on Hearts to make the right appointment With their opening few fixtures, the new manager could easily find themselves taking over a team sitting bottom of the league, and playing their home games away from home as it were
  19. Wee dip in form from Foster. He's still a doss defender Watson, unfortunately, will never be 'fit'. He may manage a game or two now and then but will then be injured again Hopefully the lad is already thinking about what he does after football
