  1. Well done Bev. Goatee boy strikes again with complete jibberish. Obviously with his previous life as a player he has contacts in every club in the league - not!!. Am i not correct in saying Doobs has just signed a contract with us, threrefore cannot just walk away. On top of this United have just put Cadamarteri, sandasa and myrie-williams on the transfer list - hardly a buying club at the moment.

Well done to "goatee boy" for another fine indepth piece of useless and incorrect information - look forward to hearing more drivel from the fat lad at the Aberdeen game.

Mate, can you not just let it go? I want to just enjoy participating in the forum discussions without it being ruined for everyone else by your seemingly continued need to have a go. If you do have such a personal issue with me, please be a man about it and come and speak to me next time you see me at a match. Otherwise, get over it

  2. He was told to do this after hsi debut. He left the picth without acknowledging the fans and has done it ever since.

He loves it here, he loves pulling on the shirt. For a wee club we have a great loyal following on the road, we are perth, we are St Johnstone FC!!

Would love to see the stats for average away support as a % of average home support. I agree Mike, I reckon we would do pretty well in that table

  3. Only saying what I heard....I thnk they reckon if they get past AEK Athens it will generate some cash. If doobs has looked after his money, then, correct, why would he move....but has he? An extra 4k a month if he needs the dosh.........?

I would hate to see him go.

By the way, ho good was the reaction of the Saints support at the end of the game! Showed total appreciation for the players efforts in getting the point. The players seemed to realise it as well...wasn't expecting them to come across...was more like the reaction at the last game of a season

  4. bit unfair on Samuel I reckon...just after he came on, we went down to 10 men and he found himself almost playing left midfield....I rate him....when on his game!!

Rumours I have heard today are that Dundee Utd are looking at Duberry as a solution to a CH problem they have. Have offered him a grand a week more than he is on at McD. However, this could be cancelled out by Webster going back to the Arabs plus £500k for Goodwillie going to Ibrox.

I have been assured that this is from a reliable source inside Tannadice. I hope it is a lot of shite!!

  5. Craig, Ando and Doobs were the stand outs for me, but the whole team showed great spirit and attitude to get the point. Mackay was obviously struggling and Miller got taken out the game because of Wallace's attacking. Murray done ok, but again didn't look to be moving totally freely (especially after colliding with Donkey Kong (Kyle)).

My first game this season and I have to admit I was a bit disappointed with Haber. Probably because I was expecting too much. He didnt really get the chance to show his strengths because of the type of game it was. Parkin scored, so can't complain, but lost a lot of headers to smaller opposition. The jury is out on Taylor for me...great cross for goal, but looks a bit lost at times.

No doubt the team will gel a bit more and Del wont have signed anybody he doesn't think can do a job - well, apart from if the rumours are true!!

  6. People forget that football is a social vent. As long as you are not shouting anything about their families, racial based insults etc, players, even at St J's level, should remember that they are there to entertain us and that getting insulted from the stands is part and parcel of what they have chose to make a career of. The same applies to shouting, gesticulating at rival supporters - the majority of those who do it have no desire to actually cause any harm to the other teams fans. It is an environment where many people (who perhaps have shit lives) can let off steam and perhaps feel that their enthusiasm / passion actually makes a difference. If anything, it is a controlled environment for the release of these frustrations - rather there than a husband knocking lumps out his wife and kids behind closed doors.

There are of course lines that need to be drawn. No supporter should ever run onto the pitch and threaten a player - away from the game, no player should be subjected to insults when out for a meal with their family - stuff like that. Humour from the touchlines has always been an important part of football, as has the chance to voice your opinion / frustrations / disgust with your teams performance without sadsacks like saintee69 getting all precious about it. Likewise, what better feeling than the release of joy when your team plays well, scores a goal, gets a victory. Who doesnt enjoy when a player, who's back you have been on all game, pops up and scores the winner.

Banter between fans of the same team - part of the experience, we all have different views on who is good, who is not - we all have our favourites.

    Okay, semi-drunken word dump over!!

    Bring on season 2010-11!!

  7. At what point did I say I was a professional footballer? I said I played football. Did your mummy ever let you play or were you not allowed to get dirty? Perhaps you have made up some of the stuff I supposedly said last season too.

Please do pop up and see me, will happily give you an autograph anyway. If you can drag yourself away from your 'heroes'. I seriously think you may be 12 years old right enough.

  8. Derek, I dont look 20 and the polis have never spoken to me....except every day at my work!!

I think I had a wee fall out with some folks for getting on Smith's back one game where he cost us (in my opinion) to lose in the dying minutes to Dundee Utd (or was it Well - I have a terrible memory!)

Anyway, I feel justified in my critique as Del obviously doesnt think he is good enough to be our first choice keeper!!

  9. I did register back in November, but never posted. Actually forgot that I had registered and only found out when it told me that my e-mail address was already in use!

Number in name is from another forum where just about every user name in the world was already taken. I just kept using it for other stuff to make it easy for me to remember - no more significance than that.

The reason I checked it out is because one of my mates was laughing his t*ts off because he reckoned you were all talking about me.....

Although flattery will get you a long way Derek....I have a goatie, I take my 6 year old son with me and I am 41.

Ghost, delighted, as I am an expert in everything me!!

  10. I have a funny feeling that the comments re the 'listen to me football expert' might be me!! Okay, I can be a bit loud I guess, and I suppose also critical of the players on occasion. But I am also Saints daft having supported them for over 35 years and very passionate about my team.

Having also played football all my life, I guess I remain a frustrated player, hence the 'what I would have done' comments.

That said, I suggest that if any of you have a particular issue with me, you try speaking to me, in person, as opposed to gossiping on here.

Oh, most of the things I shout are 'meant to be' funny.....I dont however spend a large amount of my time standing gesticulating at opposing fans- that must be a different walloper.

I look forward to speaking to you at the Aberdeen game........Derek & saintee69
