Edstar101 reacted to RandomGuy in Player contracts and transfers
I wasn't expecting them to sign him, I just wanted to mention his name so when he scores a World Cup winning goal for us I can smugly bump the post I just made..
Chris Kane scored for QOS today.

Christ, we were a bit down not getting our 'gem' striker signing
Imagine how depressed Hearts fans must be today

Edstar101 got a reaction from Wendy Saints in The invincible Celtic v the always underestimated St.Johnstone 26/8/17
Listening to that last 10-15mins on the radio was torturous. Fully expected the usual crushing last minute disappointment
Held on brilliantly though.
Anyone else feel we should have put that last minute corner into the mix to see what happened? I totally get why we didn't though

Your stats contradict this

4 injuries last season out for more than 100 days.

Though I am as keen as everyone for young Hendry to come on leaps and bounds this season, he is no where ready to be our first choice striker.

it's blatantly obvious there's something going on here. Posts from both him and his wife on social media do not point to it being a fitness issue.
The problem with the clubs silence on the matter is it fuels speculation, and what might be a minor issue within the club grows arms and legs.
The club should be explaining to the fans why one of our best and most liked players, that has been with us through a promotion, a cup win and five European campaigns has been completely frozen out, if that is indeed the case.

It would be such a shame if Chris's time at the club ended badly
Great servant and a genuinely nice guy.
Oh, and HSF, if you only deal in facts then put them into print and stop trying to be all mysterious

Agreed. Seemed to have the measure of Lawless, who looked to move deeper and infield to get away from Foster

I'm much happier with Foster at right back, with cover / competition in Comrie than I am with our left back situation

Edstar101 reacted to Hospital Radio Perth in Paul Paton
I was editing the Hospital Radio commentary from the Motherwell game the other. Although we didn't realise it at the time, in the 30 seconds before every Saints goal and every sending off we said something along the lines of "good play / ball / pass / work by Paton." I watched him particularly yesterday against Patrick. Bloody hell he gets through a power of work!

Edstar101 got a reaction from HOODLUM65 in Saints v Partick Thistle 19/8/17
First half hour was pretty dull, but for me that was okay as it meant that we were stifling Thistle, something that we have struggled to do to them on many occasions
Its a strange one as I thought there were a lot of good individual performanes (Spoony, Pats, Muzz, Ando, Foster, MOH, Joe) yet it didn't feel like a great performance overall.
Were some good attempts at creativity that just didn't come off. If they had, and if we had shown a bit more composure nearer the end and got a second goal, then maybe that would have achieved the great performance level
Great result at the end of the day and lets us go to Celtic next week with little pressure

No ****er wants to "plod along" with a shit support . I think we have a great support , would be better if half of Perth wasn't away watching Celtic, Rangers ,Hibs , Hearts and even the Dundee shite . But we will have to live with it .

Watching Sammon and Storrie today anyone else think we dodged a couple of bullets?

To be fair, if we all shut up and got on with life, this forum would become rather pointless.
I love the speculation and the obvious fishing trips. It's what makes this place interesting at this time of year.

Edstar101 got a reaction from Dave H in Motherwell (H) Premiership - 12 August 2017
I'll give Cummins the benefit of the doubt here. I think there was contact (accidental or not doesn't matter) and that he tried to continue, but the contact affected his stride leading to him stubbing his foot and falling over
That is certainly not diving
As last man, the guy probably had to go, although what's the new law on no penalty and sending off??
By the laws of the game, the other two reds (second yellow leading to red in one) were probably right, but I hate that both of these led to reds
If a keeper clearly knows that they are belting out their box and handle the ball to prevent the opposition player getting in on goal, or wipe them out, fair enough. Saturday though was borderline and a yellow would have sufficed imo
The other was just a good old fashioned solid tackle
I would be feeling well pee'd off if I was a Well fan. Would we have won anyway? Possibly- we were 2-1 up prior to the incidents, although I don't feel we were as comfortable at that stage as some seem to think. If Well had equalised, my feeling was that they would be the more likely team to go on and win
As for those that are using yesterday's result to have a go at those concerned with our striker options, have a word. We won't get breaks like that all season long, and Mikey won't get two goals every week
