This to me is very puzzling some Saints fans on this forum would appear to be more upset than ICT fans on their forum! I was not at Inverness so probably shouldn't comment but WTF everybody else and their granny is so.....The lads were wrong to steal the flag but have accepted that and they have returned it and apologised. One question I have is where was the flag placed that it was readily accessible to Saints fans? ICT have accepted (I think) that it was a bit of banter that went wrong...........time to move on.

I have always had a wee soft spot for Sunderland but I don't suppose they are a small team, I also always look out for the Wycombe Wanderers score......my sisters nephew played for them (Andrew Baird) he was apparently on Craig Browns radar but never got called up for Scotland.

Whereas I don't think religion has any place in football you must remember Holland is a staunchly protestant country. So to have Celtic fans coming over singing their usual pro catholic party songs will annoy the hooligan element of the Dutch support...a recipe for disaster if you ask me. Without being smug about it Saints have managed all their Euro travels without any bother, we have in fact been praised in the local press quite a few times.

Back on topic..........I think last year Dundee v Septic was an evening kick-off last year giving "the best fans in the world" all day to get pissed. This year its 3.00pm therefore less time in the pub. They will still of course still be just as obnoxious just slightly less pissed. So on reflection I would say take your kids and let them savour a great Saints win ( and heres hoping it will be Septics first league defeat of the season). 2nd going into the new year certainly sounds good to me (are Septic DEFINITELY going to win the league?)

Mike MacDonald was a bloody good barman when he worked at The Keg in Peebles although that was when he was playing for the Hibees. I think he is now a scout for Man City.

Living away from Perth now I tend to travel to every game by I go to by car but I did go to Tynie last week on the bus and it was a bloody good day oot ( so I have been told by quite a few bar workers in Peebles. The last supporters bus I got from Perth was to Dumfries last game of the season 1977 ( and that was a trip to give you memories...and not just the game..... to last a lifetime!!!) I have been on the Edinburgh Saints bus since then and would definitely do that again when one is organised. Us Peebles Saintees are talking of organising one for the Semi-final v's the sheep and hopefully the Final (x2 )
