Another wee thought on yesterday....................Motherwell and thier fans deserve tremendous credit for yesterdays events they came in big numbers yesterday(other than Septic I think that may have been the biggest away support this season, although it is a bit hard to say the way they were spread out) for what for them was a nothing end of season game they sang banged thier drum throughout the game. They stayed after the game. It would have only taken 1 nutcase to have started a riot, but it was all good-natured banter I cant Imagine that happening with a lot of teams. Also contrary to what I am reading in todays papers Motherwell actually played well especially the last 25-30 minutes of the first half.

Are we allowed to be pissed off after such a fantastic day yesterday? I am thoroughly pissed off with the media saying we have sneaked under the radar to clinch the Europa Cup Spot. Peebles branch of Saints supporters club mobilised for this game. Stevie MacLean has given all the kids he takes for training down here tickets for the game and I know of quite a few who are coming. I have even given a couple of scarves away to 2 boys who are almost as excited as I am. I cant remember when I was last so looking forward to a game. I was intereested to read that Celtic would like to be able to serve alcohol to fans during games. The Daily Retard yesterday had an article which streched to 4 pages about this..................yet only ONE sentence that mentioned that it was Celtic and Rangers fans that caused the present legislation to be brought in!!!!!!!

Fantastic memories but I still say if you get the right crowd at McD you can still create a good atmosphere. Yes, Muirton was great and I have many fond memories of it but the bottom line is it was a relic which belonged in the 1960's and before.

If he has genuine reasons for not coming let him or Ross County buy the agrement for £50000. Plus Saints get 90% of any transfer during next 2 years. Give him a good welcome on sunday might just convince him to come.
