I mean youre saying this when less than a week ago Valakari was publicly praising an 18yo youth player from Crieff (Jack Robertson) and how he'd promoted him to train with the first team, and then had him on the pitch for the warm up before the game on Saturday. I'd be surprised if he doesnt play some part once we have the title wrapped up. I dont think its particularly unfair hes not getting game time ahead of McAlear/Holt/Stanton.
Child protection rules in Scotland prevent anyone under 16 playing up here, Valakari claimed thats why it took so long for Hamill to get game time last season, as they had to wait for him to turn 16.

Have to assume the "excess money" raised for this by the FCU will be used to pay the fine the club will receive for the flare(s) they set off that caused the game to be delayed?
Maybe an apology aswell to their fellow fans who werent able to see the best chance of the first half because of it too?

Airdrie are what a lot of people think we are. Kind of stuck to their ideals and unable to adapt when its not working.
I think theyre probably the one team where we'll be better off when playing them on the pitch as we can be more direct and aggressive.
Why Stanton over Holt probably makes sense in the middle.

Total idiot football in defence then the, heavily financed, attack are more likely to misplace a simple 5 yard pass than actually contribute to a chance.
Quite why we've had a season of Jason Holt, the boy who can barely hit a shot when he gets a free shot never mind under pressure, emptying the midfield so he can try and be some line breaker on the edge of the box is beyond me.
Boyes, yet again, out for a leisurely stroll while an opponent counters too. Maybe him being half fit and not training plays a part in that but hey, we definitely couldn't drop him and miss the endless little stud rolls before he smashes it 10 yards over everyone's head.

With Partick sorting out their away form we probably now need at least 4 wins from the 5 games now. Its hard to see where Partick drop points beyond Arbroath away.
While we could easily drop them away to Arbroath and Dunfermline and at home to Raith.
I genuinely think we've ****ed this.

We need to get at least 3pts from the two games away to Dunfermline and Arbroath.
Then we also need to not drop points at home to Airdrie or Raith, winning both.
Then we also need to beat Ayr away.
I just cant see this team managing all that. Theyll drop daft points at home again while failing to win either tough away game and that'll be it.

The pitch is definitely an issue. The ball holds up constantly, players cant get speed up, and players cant even turn quickly.
Its a fantastic pitch for teams who want a slow game with little movement, and a dreadful pitch for teams trying to move the ball around quickly with lots of movement.
Its stopped McPake around 4 times over the last 2 home games where he had a chance of going clean through because the ball just doesnt roll and then its sticky too so he cant get going properly. Even when hes cutting in the ball is taking random bounces that prevent him hitting shots.
Its a disgrace and could play a decent part in us failing to get promoted.

You cant start a game that flat no matter your situation, but yo have a whole half like that when at the end of a title race is just miles off acceptable.
Not being able to defend a simple free kick made it a huge battle.
We cant be a handful of games from the end of the season and still be totally reliant on McPake either.
For the money Valakari has been given hes falling short.

FWIW I still dont think Smith is as bad as people are making out. He has bad games and moments but overall hes pretty good compared to the other RBs in the division.

Thats not me saying you can't speak about it, just me saying its a waste of time talking about it because its obvious he's not going to play. Its not even a month since Diabate was a RB ahead of him.
