The standards not higher in this Country, its just higher elsewhere, its utterly pointless suggesting Connolly playing against full backs who'd spent a morning smoking and getting pished is more difficult than MacLean playing against 6ft+ athletes. His achievements elsewhere shouldn't matter either, MacLean played a major part in winning St Johnstone a trophy, Connolly didnt.
As I've said, both can be considered legends, I've no problem with that. You simply can't say Connolly is and MacLean isnt though.

I'd rather he was honest than spew forth some patronising shite about how hes always wanted to play for us, I'm actually happier when a player comes in and says they hope we're a stepping stone to bigger things than anything else tbh, shows some form of drive and ambition.

Massive game, a win puts us on the magical 42 points, which, based on previous seasons, is the target to secure top six.
County will be coming off the back of a Cup Final, so will either be flying or burst. Best thing for us is for them to suffer a demoralising defeat on penalties. Even then they have a strikeforce of Boyce, Schalk, Curran, Graham and Goodwillie, so whoever doesnt play the Final will play against us.
