  1. No, these are not graphics to be proud of but blatant lies need addressing. as for your later comments, it is not NS splitting the UK (which BTW is already split into 4 nations) and rejoining the EU, it looks to be the will of the people judging by recent polls and the EU referendum results in Scotland. Anyway, the recent bill and JRM comments suggest we will end up as one country, an end to devolved parliaments. May as well do away with the 4 nations sports teams and have UK wide leagues, none of this SPFL nonsense. Then we will all be sticking together
  2. I don’t know where the FT are getting their data but you seem to be suggesting that the UK gov is manipulating stats to make Scotland’s death rate lower than England. My data above is from here https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/deaths
  3. Why should I take responsibility for dodgy PPE contracts going to Tory pals, for even more dodgy test and trace system going to Tory pals, for a UK leader who hides in a fridge.....christ, the list goes on. 3rd worst death rate, not last time I looked. 67.3 per 100,000 in Scotland and 89.6 in England (the highest of the home nations), 23rd and 6th respectively based on today’s data. you are the definition of partisan.
  4. Smarmy, is this you offering evidence for an independent Scotland?
  5. Poor smarmy, your blind hatred of anything the Scottish Government does really appears to be closing your mind. Let’s examine your first two paragraphs. As already stated the SG does not have the powers to furlough, had we independent we would have been able to borrow funds, as WM have done. I’m sure furloughing in Scotland would be continuing longer in that set up. Freeing hospital beds by moving folk to homes was pressed for by Carlaw and Labour and agreed by all parties. Plus, research has shown most COVID cases in care homes resulted from the movement of staff between homes. An example is the care home on Skye where staff were shipped in from London. Also, privately run care homes had higher rates of incidences than LA run homes. Who runs private homes? Primarily Tory donors with Tory ministers on their boards! you compare rates in Scotland with that in similar size countries. A key difference is they have full control of borders airports etc. Scotland needs indie to do that. as for the video.....oh dear, I thought you were a grown man.
  6. This according to the NI manager "I thought Ali had a fantastic debut, one to be really proud of," he added. "We knew what we were going to get from him with his work rate and endeavour. He was calm on the ball and he managed the occasion very well.“
  7. Just watched it on saints tv, pretty grim stuff football wise but the picture was good. Could have done with some zooming in at times, could barely Id players, and I’ve watched the first penalty incident several times and still cannot work out what it was for. Thought Peterhead played some decent passing.game at times and they kept running throughout the game. just hope now we avoid ugly sisters
  8. Very prescient of you given tonight’s Accies result
  9. Talking of penalties, both ET penalties in the HvH semi final looked like dives to me. Is retrospective action taken in cup games?
  10. Also thought Spoony did ok, hardly a nightmare Davemc (usually agree with most of your summations). A nightmare would be him passing to an oppo player leading to a goal. He is inconsistent though as you say, but would he be at saints if he was not? watching games on tv like we have to now is a bit surreal, have saints really played or was it a dream?
  11. But why was the DU tour of Africa such a disaster, I am not aware of the details? For the term Dundee United to end up slang for a fool there must have been something dumb happening!
  12. Welcome back Smarmy. BTW, do you know what is Nigerian slang for a fool or idiot? no, not a Tory but close......
  13. Just as well then that he provided the pinpoint cross for the second goal (From our Twitter feed). Oops, sorry, just said something positive about one of our players.....my bad!
  14. According to out twitter page a back up keeper (Gow) in season 99/00 had the number 13. He never got a game.
  15. Brian Graham and Richard Foster https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54154998
  16. Well done! And I bet you feel tons better for it.
  17. Reading that I did wonder if the taxi driver was a Dundee fan. The bar reckon the pair’s behaviour was fine, but maybe they would say that for future business, and the two stories are so different that something looks fishy to me.
  18. Did we really have 21 shots? Bbc seem to think so. but for those two late goals we would be 3rd now
  19. Don’t agree. His corners have been excellent.
  20. Bbc have done it for me. Do all journalists get their stories from WAP? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53922197
  21. It rankles when a game is decided by dodgy decisions by officials. Our performance was good at times, getting better with each game, and I reckon some of the abuse of Conway is unwarranted. Thought Kerr had a good game, as did The two Wee maccas.
  22. Have the number of bookings and sending off decreased in games with no crowds compared to pre-pandemic? I wonder if a lack of crowd atmosphere results in players being less ‘pumped up’. Any stato out there care to find out?
  23. Did we really only have one shot on target? How is that measured btw? We had several shots blocked by defenders, some deflecting off for corners and looked to be on target. Does it only count as on target if ball either goes in or reaches keeper? on a positive note, saints TV picture quality was good.
  24. Aye, I was going to say something similar. He does have a football brain!
