St.Johnstone V Hibernian - Saturday 16th December

Starting to look like a proper football team, been a while since ive felt that. Really solid performance, gilt edged chances being created, sub cadence felt right. Mr Levein, getting happier with your leadership sir. -

Great start to second half. Created a few decent chances, and now this Carey screamer! Get in saintees! Now push for more against this bad hibs team -
crap game, fair result 2 points lost there
-
well, i guess that changes that, LAUGH OUT LOUD not the prettiest, but 1-0
-
i didnt realize that, just terrible ....no surprise based on this finding it hard to be positive today.... hangover not helping
-
was flagged offside I think, motherwell have had two shots on goal
-
well that was absolute dogsh*t and saints tv commentary out of synch, causing further irritation i think we had one shot only, sky rocketed over, just hopeless up front, nor creating any chances through the middle
-
i missed most of the few games he played, is/was he really that good?
-
big game this obviously, but will levein set us up to play some football, or more of the same feels like its been a time since ive been entertained by a saints game, other that the explosion of the odd goal and win here and there
-
played decent enough 2nd half, missed clark obviously, dont think we had a shot on goal 2nd half, hearts jammy goal.... move onto celtic i guess, see if we can build further on this performance
-
not sure how i feel about that half, seemed to give hearts so much space, yet solid when they came at us, dangerous on the break a bit. Will see how we start 2nd, but if we play like this defend 0-0 deeper in the game, ill be worried

St.Johnstone V Ross County - Saturday 11th November

agree, was thinking the same.... probably just what we need right now to be honest. I seemed to explode more than usual on the goal today, from eye bleeding grind to sublime magic -
Happy that he didnt change things too much, kept two up front and we definietly felt more organized in defense. Clearly a defensive minded manager, which we all know, but a good start though and despite my concerns with his appointment, I hope that he can bring the best out in these players.

thas huge... well done saints. Not pretty, but levein kept the shape, defensively good and some solid performances. Team has some challenges though ahead, still lacking in some areas. -

brutal....cant string three passes... no shot on target sloppy posession -
Easy to say now, didn't see this place lighting up at the idea of Levein last week, for good reason. He plays the kind of football we've been trying to move on from.

B team for Jambo Budgie?
-
No creativity, going to be a complete slogfest with a negative tactics dinosaur, gone will be the headys day of starting 2 strikers.. and wait for the excuses to start... "rebuilding for the longterm" "was always going to be a challenge" "injuries have crippled us this year" We've had a deep drought of positive play and this reinforces more of the same.
-
Dont want Levein....miserable selection and I don't think he'd keep us up.
-
Didnt see the game, but just watched highlights.... Kane-Clark seemed to work up front! Loved the reaction of saints players at end, after win.... thats some raw passion!

Perhaps saints are close to getting a new owner or have some advanced talks and under an NDA, during interview procedures, could play a factor for a more senior figure? I was quite surprised that we took action so quickly. Any aspiring manager I think would have concern on what tools/money he would have available to dig us out of this hole. I think who we end up getting could tell us a lot as in what financial and/or future of the club looks like. I think Martindale would be a neutral to this point though, because Livi ownership change does not look good, and if I were him, I wouldn't see a future there.
-
I missed first half, was there any glimmer before goal fest started?
-
Like you, I see everything evolving around new ownership, and also how quickly this gets done. The longer we hang out there as a club for sale, with no buyer, the more concerned I would be for the future. We really need someone truly steering the ship with a vision and purpose for our club and community.

We need to win this, there for the taking, kmon saints! (Edit - nope, dropped deep, playing for draw and we end up in desperate defence)
