  1. I'd just like to know what a "Halll" is? 3 L's? in a row, sounds more Welsh than Greek to me.
  2. 1) Genuine Refugees. 2) Illegal Immigrants. 3) Economic Migrants Would love to know how anyone/ any state/ any political union of many countries, could realistically pick thru millions of people and categorise them into 1 of the 3 above
  3. 6th year involved playing cards. smoking, and snogging as many girls as possible, sounds better thn a yts?!
  4. tx PS1977 - i now understand even less than i thought i did!! the whole system seems like a total mess. joined up thinking across councils might be a good idea.? I volunteer with a national charity, in their local store - thousands going to deserving causes rather than council rates, id hope more people would support that
  5. @perthsaint1977 Appreciate the info, any idea how it works out for charities in large stores?
  6. fit and proper rules dont seem to apply at ibrox like they would at different clubs. any decent league would enforce the rules - the sfa, as usual. embraces the ugly sisters regardless of the bigger picture
  7. To be fair.playing someone like levante or aston villa is going to generate a bit more cash for any club than the likes berwick or east stirling in a pointless cup competition Personally for me - the league cup is a waste of time, if there isnt a euro place up for grabs or a decent payoff why bother
  8. BHF in the toon had a few the other day for sale for pennies, and youd get to contrib to a worthwhile charity {dont forget to giftaid to keep Georgie Porgies fingers out of the pie}
  9. its a bit weird that that kind of bigotted sh1t was unacceptable 70 years ago in this country when we were fighting facism. yet the dailywail readers out there seem to think its perfectably acceptable today. Lets allow BigDon back into this country, and hope someone buries him under one of his own sanddunes
  10. A city built on a flood plain gets flooded occassionaly, who'd have thought that. (Im not far from the almond so my view may change very quickly if it bursts its banks this winter)
  11. surely cutting off fife from the civilized world is a plus? knock down the tay bridge and dig a bloody big trench just past kinross. Theiving across the country would be down 99+%
  12. i'll certainly try some of those out jhq. some are new to me. Whilst the Bothy is decent, its never been somewhere id describe as special. Been to Pacos a few times over the years and it continues to dissapoint, not sure the owners even know what type of restaurant it is- spanish/italian/scottish???
  13. Id love to know where the great restaurants are in perth.. they must be hidden gems. theres certainly a few decent ones, but id struggle to think of anywhere special. I really hope someone can set me straight
  14. absolute nonsense that anyone is even investigating something 400 years out of date How about for next season all clubs show some solidarity, lose their badges have a picture of cnuts like Morrow
  15. well, its official - the n'th middle east crusade has started. Theres nothing like carpet bombing to brings fanatics to the peace table!
  16. Everyone knows the old lot broke numerous rules.... Why cant we have a SA-style truth and reconcilliation court where they own up to their past deeds, we accept that most others would have done the same in their position at that time, and just move on. If newco/oldco/sevco whatever theyre called this week, simply said, rules were broken, and its definitaley not going to happen again, we could put all this PR car crash in the past
  17. politicians addressing real issues rather than providing tabloid sound bites?!? LAUGH OUT LOUD like you say, who is buying the oil that is supporting Daesh? Russia? The US? China? The Saudis? They all have an interest of keeping the region destabilised, the EU too. The "great game" may be 200 years old, but its still on going
  18. funny thing was 2 years ago in Syria, Assad was our enemy, Cameron was all gun-toting jihadi-supporting, bomb him out of power. Now we seem to be anti-Daesh, pro assad and supporting god kn0ws what other jihadi groups in syria If we are going into yet another war - is there any chance a politician could tell us what we can expect at the full time whistle?!?
  19. switched over from the GP just in time to see the winner. i know its a team event but that was some point. if the english meedja ever go down the "anyone but england" pish again, just show them todays footage
  20. ...and then some of them plant airliners straight into skyscrapers. 9/11 was pretty much all saud, and the extended bin laden family where all spirited out of the US even tho there was a no fly zone
  21. Aye, just like when they "werent" supporting Al-Queda! That Osama bloke had no Saudi links!!!!!! The middle east , in fact the wider world, would be a far better place without the house of saud. Any country that has a human rights record that would make China blush, should not be considered a friend.
  22. Athens, if youre talking about the pic i posted above, its about 10 miles outside Chiredzi in southern zimbabwe, which means about 15 miles from the nearest tarmac road. Was lucky enough to stay there for its soft opening. Pics nicked from tripadvisor, im not that good a photographer. the riverbank in the background was full of game/hippos/elephants and the odd big cat every sun down
  23. "1 thing for sure is we certainly aren't innocent in whats happened in the Middle East." ^^^ This Unfortunately the latest calls for bombing "them" into submission, would be yet another short term sticking plaster, killing the bad guys now, but doing nothing to solve the long term problems. The west has spent at least the last 100 years propping up/arming/ and then attacking pretty much every country in the middle east. Is it Eastasia or Eurasia we're at war with this week?
  24. Sorry Abernethy, but its even worse than you think..... Our "secular" state has at least double that number of CoE members in the Lords - think it might be 26, its some random number defined 200 odd years ago. Unelected and certainly unrepresentative of those of us who live outwith England
