O'HALLORAN LOOKING FORWARD TO CELTIC CLASH
St. Johnstone forward Michael O'Halloran looks ahead to tonight's home clash with Scottish Premiership champions Celtic:
"I was delighted to get my goal against Ross County on Sunday, but I think the most important thing was to get a good start to the league season with 3 points, which is what we did. Macca (Steven MacLean) chipped in with a brilliant goal as well so we were delighted to get our first win of the season in the opening game.
Looking back to the 3-3 draw with Celtic towards the end of last season (a game where Michael scored the equalising goal), I feel it was a game that we should have won as we played really well in that.
On Wednesday night it's Celtic's opening game and they'll be wanting to get off to a good start but we'll be at home and we want to show the fans what we're all about in our opening league home game. I'm sure it will be a good game.
I think Celtic will win the league quite comfortably again. Obviously their budget is a lot higher than the rest but I think they'll be a few teams fighting for second place and I think we're in with a chance of getting in there. There's a lot of people that write us off but we've shown before what we're all about so we'll be pushing to finish as high up the league as possible.
I definitely think we can get the three points against Celtic, we go into every game thinking we can get the win. We're at home so we'll be looking to go at them from the off and the aim is to get the three points."
