  1. Ridiculous statement to make!!! Jamie murphy is 5times the player nigel is and hes gone to league 1- albeit a big team. Nigel isnt even one of the better spl players by a long way and brings absolutely nothing to the team when he isnt having a good game- no workrate, fight or desire. Been fed with a silver spoon being brought up through the PSV youth ranks and has a massively inflated ego, and it is know showing in his performances. Russel, griffiths, heffernan, vine, mcginn, mckay, ojamaa are all far superior to nigel. You only have potential for so long and atm nigels attitude is going to ruin any chances he has of showing he is any better than a midtable spl squad player.
  2. Dont know what all the fuss is about pawlett. Maybe wasnt a penalty but wasnt a blatent dive either like alot of people on here are suggesting. Running at speed its easy to be knocked off balance and fall over. Harsh booking IMO.
  3. Yeah its so refreshing instead of the normal bollocks of being happy with a point away from home regardless of how poor the opposition may be. Got to love tade though, comes across well and seems to love playing for us.
  4. Should comfortably win this game whatever first team players are picked. Hope beattie gets 10-15 mins at the end. Wonder if we will get an attendance over 1000 tonight
  5. Great, now the players are feeling sorry for themselves and hard done by. Its our job to go and win these games, and if we're dominating we simply only have ourselfs to blame instead of "it fell right too their striker" excuses.
  6. Because geoff brown would have known every big gamble in appointing untried managers wouldnt work out. He was going to make a wrong appointment somewhere down the line and that just happens to be lomas. Although every appointment is a gamble you limit the risk with proven spl managers, no matter how unpopular and seemingly dull these proven managers may be eg jeffries calderwood etc.
  7. Lets face it, its difficult for SB. theoretically SL should be given more time and despite the dreadful run we are on i still feel despite lomas's apparent inneptness as a manager we would stay up because the ability of the squad is imo too good to go down. However, i feel we really have the squad to be a shoe- in for top6 and should be aiming for 2nd place. With a quality manager that would be possible. The question for steve brown is whether hes happy to keep lomas and just manage to stay in the league or sack him now and make a statement of intent that at the very least top6 is what we want. The reason i believe, asides from the non football reasons, that has the majoriy of people wanting lomas out is despite his claims, so far with this squad we are massively underachieving. There was so much optimism and a feel good factor around the club at the start of the season with europe etc and its so painful to see how thats changed.
  8. Would not like to see callum getting the job. Im sure he could go on and do a good job somewhere but to appoint him now wouldnt be wise with everything thats going. A completly knew face is needed. I think geoff brown was seriously considering an experienced appointment before lomas and looking back now that would have probably been the correct decision .
  9. Lets not forget he did really well for falkirk and had them playing good football. And his first season and a bit at hibs didnt he do well?? In fact im sure he got them into europe. Biggest problem he faced was fans too high expections. Worth considering if lomas does get the boot imo.
  10. Never thought id say this but i think jimmy calderwood on a contract till the end of the season would be my first choice. Knows the spl, experienced, and has been in holland and been successful and now seems keen for his teams to play good football . John hughes option aswell.
  11. Cheers. Yeah your right . Need a win, COYS!!!!
  12. That signing is strange . We have to sign an aberdeen young player, developing him for them. Reflects badly on the quality of our young players. Should be able to promote from within but if theres nothing there i guess you cant. Good on aberdeen, they have exciting bunch of young players on their books if they can loan pawlett out to an spl team that should be expecting to finish ahead of them.
  13. Ive been and many others on here, and rightly so have been very critical of lomas. There is now various rumours flying around about these issues within the club and quite frankly this is not what our club should be like. For a small family club we need everyone to see eye to eye within the club from players to manager and the board. These "personal issues" are spilling over and badly effecting lomas's ability to manage the team and the team itself to perform. If this was just on football matters despite our 12 game winless run it would be unfair to dismiss lomas untill after the first round on fixtures when our strikers are all fit. However there are much more underlying issues atm within the club and club and Lomas, if u read these threads which apparently you do, maybe the best thing to do would be to resign so we can all move on.
  14. I brought up this point in a different thread. I believe dave isnt captain material and should just be allowed to concentrate on his game. Hes had a terrible start to the season and dosent seem interested. Callum imo should be club captain but as he wont play in quite a few games have muzz as team captain or keep him as vice. Regardless of his age he leads the team by example .
