  1. Improved second half I actually didn't think Dundee were quite as bad as some have suggested. Saints played some decent stuff at times. Foster looks to be settling in well.
  2. Swanson for me but not a failure really. Good displays from Foster and Kane
  3. Zander for me no doubt in my mind that he deserves an extended run in the side, made some superb stops today and is more commanding in the area and a better distributor than Mannus. Notable mention for Ando who was immense

    Dave Mackay

Very sad that we won't see Dave leading the Saints out again. He's been fantastic these last few years and his sheer presence had a reassuring effect. Would love to see him continue to have a role with the club. Best of luck for the future, agree that we need to celebrate his achievements somehow.
  5. Sorry can't see much in the new Midfield signings that are an improvement on Simon. Would take him either Paton or Alston from what I've seen so far
  6. Sorry guys call me an old duffer but I actually far prefer the old site actually think new one is a lot less user friendly
  7. Seemed a bit of a weird decision to pick such a negative line up when we had such a makeshift back 4 inviting them onto us. Felt a bit sorry for Foster being thrown into the lions den like that. Not yet fullt convinced by Paton or Alston TBH. Just because you pile ten men behind the ball doesn't make you defensively sound, think sometimes best tactic against Celtic is to press from the front as they don't like going direct
  8. Thoroughly enjoyed last night especially sweet seeing Hearts undone by their ex players after a fairly brutal performance. Swansons goal looks better every time I see it and he was brilliant last night MOM by a distance. Personally thought their pen a tad harsh but seen them given, don't think Tam being clearly injured helped. Delighted with Brads goal hope that will kick start his Saints career and boy has he got a good scoring record. Few observations as follows:- Why doesn't Mannus ever come for crosses or kick from hand? Think Zander has the edge on him for these aspects. Joe had a bit off an off night but can forgive him that. Alston was quiet, Paton seems to me to be very short of pace but good distribution, Ando struggled at times against Salmon who impressed me, real handful.
  9. Can't argue with 1 goal and 2 assists Liam for me
  10. Between Ando and Easton for me, gone for Ando though especially liked a really good through ball for Cummins and that unexpected deft wee cross in the second half. Defensively faultless too. Having the same back four from last season who have a bit of an understanding now may serve Saints well this season
  11. Congratulations hope mum and baby are doing well
  12. As an AFC Wimbledon and Saints supporter I would like nothing better than turning Plymouth over in the final. Come on you Dons!
  13. Thanks to all who are departing especially Simon and Scott, will always remember the strikes against Dundee Utd and Rangers, Simon was a shining light when we had dealings with him after my youngest got hit in the face last Christmas, model pro and a really nice guy. Best of luck Simon all the best
  14. Still laughing my socks off about "There's only one Efe Ambrose" quality!!
  15. Loved that not a bad performance from a boy in blue. Very cool finish from Macca and delighted for Cummins getting his goal. Two comedy moments of defending from the champions though. We defended really well and although they had a lot of pressure they didn't really create much. Six wins out of 6 for Zander, must be thinking this SPL lark is a doddle. Seriously very impressed with Joe tonight he's proving to be a very good acquisition and understanding with Ando improving. Great night to be a Saintee
  16. Really enjoyed it some real stand outs for Saints number 7 and 11 plus the two boys at centre back agree with comments from Dave H
  17. Tade for Steaua Bucharest on Saturday
  18. Tough one on another night could have gone for any one of six or seven but Millar for me, best performance for ages and helped keep possession better than many matches recently. Having said that either Ando, Macca or Cummins were only marginally behind
  19. That was fantastic, great team performance, worked their socks off led from the front by Macca and Cummins. Ando immense in defence and a threat from set pieces and as for that piece of Beckenbaueresque skill in the first half, nearly spat my coffee out! Millar ran the show in midfield ably supported by Muzz until he went off, best game Midge has had this season. Delighted for Zander looked very composed, Cummins much more like his early season form. Spoony best game for a while and much more consistent, great free kick for the goal and some wicked corners. Everyone else just fab, great way to start the weekend. Aberdeen were made to look very poor.
