I still feel the rules are the major problem, the handball and offside decisions are ludicrous because the law is an ass.

Until there is clarity on what is a handball and until we stop giving offside by a toenail the game is a goner with VAR.

These are laws of the game and there is always discretion, and on the same logic they will apply law based on "intent" for handball and attempt to make offside a strict call, though that does get messy with "interfering with play" calls.

I personally feel there needs to be death squads going round shooting any one who talks about "regulation time" and "playing the quarter back role" etc - commentators are not helping matters!

    Let's All Laugh at Rangers

    PLAY HERE >>> https://suno.com/song/95096132-10cd-445b-8f04-476123f86cda

    Marching on the field
    Ready for the cheer
    The Rangers football team
    But no victory here
    They stumble on the grass
Like they're stuck in a trance
    Their fans are zombies
    Just looking for a chance

    Hold your drumsticks high
    Let the cymbals clash
We're here to mock the Rangers
    It's gonna be a bash
    They tried and they failed
    It's just a sad sight
    But we'll keep on marching
    From day into the night

    [Verse 2]
    They wear the blue jersey
    With hopes held high
But their performance on the field
    Makes us all sigh
    Their passes go haywire
    Their shots miss the mark
    The Rangers football team
    Oh what a stark

    B SIDE

    Rubbish Rangers

    PLAY HERE >>>  https://suno.com/song/cf40b4ca-7162-4fa6-b0e4-fd1ceb18a1a3

    On the football field
    They take the stage
    But The Rangers team
    Just can't engage
    Their skills are lacking
    It's plain to see
    Zombie fans cheer half-heartedly

    Fans in blue
    Like walking dead
    Following a team
    With no spark
    No thread
Their glory days have long since gone
    Laughing at their failures
    We all have fun

    [Verse 2]
    Marching along
    In the army's beat
    But The Rangers team
    Can't find their feet
    Their passes are errant
    Their shots go wide
Zombie fans support with delusional pride

As Kilmarnock supporters we travelled to Perth as a family day out today. Spent some time in the city, had some lunch and attended the game.

Irrespective of the result, the day was ruined after one of your ‘supporters’ chose to rip the scarf from our 9 year old son’s neck following the game and ran off with it  as we walked back to the car leaving him pretty upset.

Maybe not such a big deal to an adult but it is to a kid.

Ironically we had helped an elderly St Johnstone supporter who had taken a fall in the carpark prior to the match.

Sadly football culture seems to attract idiots, I know we have our fair share who follow Killie and don’t do the club any favours.

I like St Johnstone as a club and have friends who support your team. I genuinely hope you stay up too. Not looking for anything from this post and the scarf will never be seen again, but naively like to think that someone might read this and know the idiot who caused this today and quietly has a word so that they might just make a better choice in future and not tarnish the reputation of your support.

Best of luck for the remainder of the season.

You hit the nail on the head "Sadly football culture seems to attract idiots"

If you PM me your address or a paypal account i'd like to cover the cost or send  a new scarf for your laddie - many of us on this forum and 99.9% of those in the stands at home games are football folk, not the idiots who come and go .....

I can confirm that all of the above is putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.  Not remotely true.

More chance of Dee looking for investors to shore up their bottomless pit of cash, and "big club" aspirations.

Interested to know if anyone has any idea who/where or what has happened with our search for new owners....

I don't think another striker will be high up the list of needs, given Sidibeh, Kimpioka, Clark and May are all signed up for next season.

Can win the championship with that front line (if needed)

  6. Can we just pause for a moment to think about this: Aberdeen manager is Neil Warnock.

"I went to the local Tesco today, i couldn't believe how many Aberdeen fans there were - they are great fans"

There;s something Donald Trump about him, but in a nice way "yeah, we lost tonight, but a word of apprecation for the boys - they are great guys, great boys"

Why even bother making the roof retractable? Just have a permanent roof over the stadium and you completely eradicate any issues caused by rainfall, snow, frost etc. Believe there are a few grounds in Scandinavia like this.

Hammarby is the main one, and they make a packet from concerts

    Plastic pitches mind you....

  8. new website selling stuff - incoming

newsletter updates - daily + selling stuff

membership programme - for tickets, saints tv, invites and money off stuff they are selling

more interviews with sponsors who are selling stuff

exlusive access to stuff they are selling to give you deals on stuff they are selling

    ALL INCOMING :)

ps and so they should! Saints are terrible at selling themselves/leaving money on the table.

This is a huge area the club could make advancement in.

Gym facilities used by the first team that could also be rented out and profit made from them. Repeated income from renting out space to PTs and the like.

A hotel/self-service accomodation that would bound to be busy on match days and well used by people at weddings at the likes of Huntingtower.

Upgraded food and bar facilities for pre and post match. Tie in with local food and drink providers for pop-up events, gigs and the like.

There is a ton of potential there.

Hotel is a winner, Gym not so.
But any new owner is not looking at small business opportunities, the land is the attraction

Maybe the reason for being interested in us is something to do with a Scottish family connection? "My Grandaddy was from Aberfeldy" type of thing.

But then they've apparently been looking at clubs in England and all over Europe, so I doubt that.

I think it's simply, as has been mentioned, an ego thing. Owning a soccer team in the UK. Plus we'll be less expensive than other options.

As long as they've got a bit of finance, a plan going forward and good intentions then I'll be happy enough.

Or even better, they're absolutely minted and we're going for the title. 👍😜

I presume they were found by that agency that was working for the club to find new buyers.

Americans are frighteningly good at extracting more value from sports than any other people in the world. And the pound is weak. Regulations lax. Foreign investment encouraged. And apparently we speak the same language as them, so it's an easy deal for them to do.

But for Saints to be successful, you really need a league that's worth something.

EPL turnover 5.5 billion - anyone know the t/o of the SPFL?
