  1. Has Nicky Clark had a worse game in a saints jersey? Livi are hammer throwers!
  2. Next game isn’t until 16th March and is against Celtic at Parkhead - who cares who starts that game. Next game that we would need both players fit for is a month away. Play Keltjens and Clark, give them 4 weeks(FOUR) to recover to face Dundee on 30th March. Levein in the paper indulging in some expectation management I reckon as he knows he can’t have Carey huffing for a second week on the bench. FWIW we now don’t have any midweek fixtures before the split, so every match after Dundee comes with a weeks gap. Should be able to manage those players through that without having to weaken the balance and harmony of the team through needless rotation.
  3. Quite simple isn’t it. Win, we stay up, lose, we could go down… The only potential cause of complications is the team selection of Craig Levein. Unfortunately I just don’t see a world where he drops Considine, Carey and Max for 2 games on the bounce. I hope I’m wrong.
  4. Not shocked to see Luke Robinson have a better game without Carey criticising him every time he touches the ball and screaming at him the whole match. Thought Luke Robinson was fantastic tonight, but Sven Sprangler was the big difference. A midfield containing Phillips, M.Smith and Sprangler looks so much more balanced and confident.
  5. That looks like a bit more of a balanced starting 11… Looking forward to seeing Sprangler, Phillips and M.Smith in the same side.
  6. Back into the play off spot we go
  7. Just think Tony Gallagher is pretty pish and will cost us points if he starts and Andy Considine is contorted, slow, immobile and will cost us points(more) if he starts. Nothing more, nothing less. I have a strong opinion on it and the fact that supporters, who have paid good money for a season ticket, are left watching those two as starting defenders - really poor.
  8. Gallagher? As in Tony Gallagher? Or have we signed someone I’ve missed.
  9. You’re seriously writing Kerr Smith off over tried and tested mediocrity off the back of 2 starts?
  10. He surely surely won’t start Kucheriavyi as a couple of you have suggested he might. He’s tried a couple of others in there - hopefully this time it’s Sprangler’s turn. A positive step taken by trying Kerr Smith in the back three to freshen it up, hope to see him back in there ahead of Considine, McGowan or Gordon(in that order). Mitov McGowan Gordon K.Smith Keltjens Robinson Sprangler Phillips M.Smith Clark Kimpioka
  11. Someone on here earlier saying Gordon and Considine are as capable of defending as Frazer Wright and Steven Anderson. More like Darren Dods(Gordon) and Rudi Vata(Considine)…
  12. Why is no journalist asking Levein the questions you have outlined above and that an entire forum is left asking each other. Many of the journalists who have regular access to Levein read this forum. From Robert Thompson, Eric Nicholson and Sean Hamilton to Aidan Smith and Matt Gallagher.
  13. Why is no journalist asking Levein the questions that an entire forum is asking each other. Many of the journalists who have regular access to Levein read this forum. From Robert Thompson, Eric Nicholson and Sean Hamilton to Aidan Smith and Matt Gallagher. Stop asking him sh** like “2-0 defeat today Craig, how do you we played”… pointless! ”Sven Sprangler appeared to arrive in Perth with a bang, can you put your finger on his downturn in form” ”Max Kucheriavyi is a talented player but appears to be struggling with the step up to Premiership football, would a loan be something you would consider” “Tony Gallagher appeared to struggle at RWB today, did you consider changing system for today’s match”
  14. No, we won’t a cup with Mackay, Wright, Anderson and Easton…. MASSIVE difference! None of the current back 5 would be allowed to be their bootboy. Considine hurpled about all game and chucked another goal with a clearance that Anderson or Wright would have put out the stadium. What planet are you on!!
  15. How were Gallagher, Considine and Gordon?
  16. Excitement for this one palpable.. Hoping we see Mitov, Keltjens, Matt Smith, Sprangler, Philips, Clark and Sidibeh start plus - another four. Hoping not to see Gallagher, Considine, Gordon or Kucheryavyi.
  17. I agree to the extent that indivudallly I don’t think he alone can come in and win matches with individual brilliance… however I think his presence would be key. I think the way he would change the dynamic would shift the needle. We all of a sudden become a ball playing team with a bit of bite - that rubs off on those around you rather than what we have at present which is Smith, Phillips and Carey trying to bring Kucheriavyi up to level.
  18. A remember a woman in the East Stand used to wear a Blue Jays baseball jacked to every home game! Looked great! Could bring back the 1990’s Bukta kit with the baseball style collar at the same time. Let’s go Perth saints, let’s go!
  19. He didn’t need to dive in there!! He gets caught too high, he’s slow to get back, Sterling is at an impossible angle, we had covering defenders, a good shot stopping goalkeeper and Sterling has taken a heavy touch. So many reasons why a manager would be shouting “Stand him up” rather than “Dive in!” Maybe we just have vastly different views on defending. To me, sticking 11 bodies behind the ball for 90 minutes and blocking the pitch isn’t defending - defending is a skill that should be applied when defending is required, not by mass of bodies for a full game. Steven Anderson was a defender, Frazer Wright was a defender.. Jason Kerr, Brian Easton, Dave Mackay. Guys understanding the art of defending - timing, positioning, tackling, winning battles. That’s defending. Not sticking three blocks of wood like Gordon, Considine and McGowan between the opposition and our goal.
  20. Right you’ve got to be trolling now!! I’ll bite.. You did see Rangers’ first goal on Sunday didn’t you? You did see the challenge for the penalty that led to Rangers’ second didn’t you? You did see the state of Considine and McGowan for Shankland’s goal 2 weeks ago. I mean I could go on… We encourage and gift more goals than we prevent with our current clown show trio of McGowan Considine and Gordon.
  21. Come on!!! Surely you can’t be legislating for the way that back three defended on Sunday? They are all over the place. If anything, crosses into the box is when they are at their best. They are so slow, immobile and ponderous.
  22. If that was a true reflection of Levein’s logic, then surely he’d start Kerr Smith ahead of one of the current bombscare centre backs.
