Dunc. Just back on island after leave. Is this issue now resolved or... ? I noticed on the news the other day that a battle had been won and certain rights had been granted?? But not sure if the fight is ongoing on behalf of others.
  2. Aye but... you must've loved airyplanes before you joined up?
  3. The fifth - Mine, it's an easier walk. And it's been open since... Lunch.
  4. Stark, Clarke who cares - hic! - I'm going back to the bar.
  5. And England are 2-0 up against Andorra - You missed that...
  6. The bottom line is, he's already grabbed 3 pts for them and to that effect he's been a good acquisition. Let's see whether his partnership with Dobbie blossoms into something we look upon with envy, or, turns into something we will ridicule.
  7. Asking people to comment on the obvious here - of course it would be good, and it's what we all want - but then again we didn't want to be in the position where we had to win 'em all in the first place. That's about all I can say about a hypothetical scenario that may, or may not, become reality. What 'sack' rumours.
  8. Fast turning into a 'Foreign' Billionaires playground. There will soon be little left of old England as most teams will not field many, if any, English (British) players. They will be (are) managed nearly entirely by Foreign managers. They play in Stadiums with Foreign sounding names. The only thing English about the Premier League will be that matches are played in err... England.
  9. I do not believe it.... I get to the UK once a year at which time I am able to make the pilgrimage to the 'hallowed ground' and what do I find. A two week international break followed by two away games on 13th and 20th of September. Bahhh!
  10. If the team keep performing the way they are at the moment he could probably get away with selling three sides of the Stadium.... couple a'hundred fans would be all that would turn up in Div2. But seriously - 1st 'All seater' pristine stadium in Scotland To take us back to something like Sheffield Utd used to have where if you weren't enjoying the football you could watch the cricket (or cars in our case) further down the pitch - nah! no thanks.
  11. Ah well - I like to see a smart manager. I'm going to work.
  12. They're takin' the piss - and now Dundee are 1 up.
  13. Exactly!! - Couldn't agree more - another meaningless, pointless match to play for a What? Super-Cup a (bit of tin) trophy dreampt up to shove another match, into an already packed calendar, with the potential to make money.
  14. Rather than in-the-soup. As we are at the mo - you mean!
  15. Couldn't have said it better myself. Sadly so many of my countryfolk thrive on feeling that they are continually oppressed by those south of the border. Still think that NI should do something about getting a National Anthem of their own or, as we have done, at least use one of their emotive Ballads to represent their nation at these sort of events.
  16. Who are you asking? - I never mentioned Rangers. (Or Celtic). I merely said things were coming together towards the end of last season. But I reckon - about 6. Main, Rutki, Savo, Hardie, Craig and Peaso. (at least)
  17. I dunno - We seemed to be building good 'team' performances towards the end of last season but since the first competetive ball was kicked this year all sense of direction appears to have been lost. Perhaps, therefore, we shouldn't be talking about 'Prima-Donnas' but - should be looking for another reason. I personally am, once again, concerned, that fitness levels appear to have bottomed out with reports of a good few players carrying weight. This could account for the apparent slowness to the ball, failure to back-up team mates, lack of backtracking, no players finding space therefore not available for passes, and ultimately giving the impression that they are just strutting about with a general lack of interest in the game waiting for it all to happen. Maybe they're just knackered.
  18. As long as he likes - He would just be replaced by someone else who would end up with a bunch of motiveless dross who as soon as they are tipped to be favourites for the league would invariably turn into 'prima-donnas' thinking that the title would simply drop at their feet. I'm past caring to be honest. It's been the same story for the past 10 seasons. Dunfy and Scumdee, maybe even Partick will be back in the S?L before us. We seem to move in the right direction - buy in a few players and the whole 'shebang' goes to rats' again. Yesterday we had a situation whereby three of our ex-players apparently had a thouroughly enjoyable day at our expense. Does this mean they've been replaced by inferior quality players or what? Changing the manager at this stage wouldn't get us out of this years mess. (Anyway I'm losing count - how many have we had since 1997)
  19. You obviously missed the irony in my question - after yesterday's result?
  20. And just to clarify please - what title are we pushing for...?
  21. I can see his point though - It appears we managed to hold out for 6 bloody minutes. However - let me not judge before I hear what happened. I hope our highly regarded (allegedly) strikers are going to come up with the goods today.
  22. I'm saying nothing. After all I'm 4,000 + miles away. I couldn't possibly be disappointed.
