"Giving Europe a miss" is probably the most ridiculous thing I've seen on here, even after taking into account 3,265 RandomGuy posts.
I agree with Broon, 500k would probably see him away, which is sad as we should be going for 750k in my opinion.
However I don't think Sevco have even 500k, they're only playing at being interested to show their fans they're a pure massive club with a 'war chest'.
Because of that I don't think he'll go in January as there doesn't seem to be much interest from anyone else.

Is Mikey worth more than £500k? Undoubtedly.
    Would Saints accept £500k? Probably.
Quite sad really. If saints wanted decent money they'd come out and publicly state they want a million. Dundee Utd used to do this all the time.

I have also not got a ticket yet so I agree a new stadium needs building in case this happens again. An absolute outrage and something must be done, by someone.

It would appear we need a Stand capable of holding 5000 people  at Tynecastle and Easter Road in case either of the teams who own these Stadiums get to the Semi final and draw St Johnstone. Is this correct, Before I send in my suggestion to the SFA  or SPFL or who ever is in charge of this tournament at my disgust that they did not plan ahead for 100-200 St Johnstone fans who can not get tickets for this game and sit beside their friends all together and possibly have a few gap seats as well so we are not too crushed in. I will mention that they should also be building a new 25,000 seated stadium some where equidistance to most teams from the East coast and also to consider The Highland teams and Aberdeen also, or at least build this stadium near a railway station where trains arrive at before a 12-00 noon kick of time from these destinations.
Should I mention that this stadium has a retractable roof as discussed before so that when our games are cancelled due to water logged pitch we can switch our game to this stadium that needs to be on standby for us, have I missed anything?????.
I will also ask that since I have done all this thought process for them can they supply me with four tickets for each of the Scotland V England world cup Qualifying games coming up.
Now there is thing should this new Stadium have a larger capacity  to allow everyone to get a ticket for these games?????

One of the best posts I've read on here from Brogan. Absolutely no surprise that a Rangers fan finds it disgraceful.

Also, just to add that my grandad fought in World War II and would not have wanted to see any hint of a jingoistic celebration.
No doubt some others of his generation would be in favour of it, but I think it's quite shameful that some people presume to take offence on behalf of a diverse group, when really what they are presenting is their own agenda.

I agree with those saying the minute's silence is enough. I also personally do not agree with having that at a football game, but I'm OK with it happening.
Anything on top of that potentially strays into a celebration of our current armed forces: a much more contentious area which I think is best left alone. It's clear from the opinions on here there's far from a consensus around it like there more or less is with the minute's silence.

Not sure if he was better than Mannus, but he was a very good keeper who unfortunately had his reputation tarnished by a horrendous preformance on that Semi v Motherwell.  I agree with you that he quickly seemed to be forgotten, although that's probably testament to how good Mannus is, and certainly wasn't the bombscare that some on here claim.

Surely Enckelman and Mannus would have been 2 keepers who could be regarded as number 1.

Don't think it deserves a ban, but fair enough him being charged.

I haven't seen anyone at all being 'outraged' at this, despite the PC police straw men that have been constructed.

It was however a silly thing to say and not the sort of comment I would personally want associated with Saints.

Hopefully he apologises (instead of posting more Malcolm X quotes) gets a warning, and that's it done.

He's tweeting Malcom X quotes about media distortion. I'd ban him for 2 games for that alone.

I'm not saying this is the case in Brad's case, I've not heard what he actually said, but stereotyping people negatively because of a reputation which the group they belong to (nationality, race, religion) has is pretty much the definition of racism. The 'it's PC gone mad' brigade tend to be the ones who want to be casually racist and are bitter because they can't anymore.

I'm sorry montrose but although I can't put it to you in any other terms, you are missing the point and drawing false connections.

There is no link between being angered by the rolling around in Spain and claiming cheating is the action of a "typical foreigner". There is no link at all, you have just created that exaggerated comparison and it is of no value.

What Brad said suggests that cheating is the action of a typical foreign person, when in fact it is only a trait of a select group of footballers even from within certain countries. His words weren't vile or obscene or disgustingly racist, just an incorrect and sloppy generalisation which displayed some lazy xenophobia.

The issue isn't the exact nature of his words, but the fact he was dumb enough to say anything that exposes him to criticism in this way.
