  1. All the above basically. The kit issues have been since the season started - having to use plain socks in the first game against East Fife - and have continued on since. Another example of this is there has been no kids training wear this season at all, hence why the ball boys and girls are still in Joma tracksuits. Mind you, similar issues have also plagued Hartlepool and Port Vale as has been said already.
  2. Anderson off on loan to Partick for rest of the season. We get Niall Keown until end of the season on loan in return.

  4. Goals from Sunday's 2-2 draw - a game we really should have won with chances created.
  5. Not an easy match to finish up with by any means, but its the last home match of the season. Any one at a loose end the support is appreciated as always.
  6. There was a more positive Sunday yesterday for the womens side, with a 3-0 win over Glasgow Girls - who usually get the better of us. Goals:
  7. Saints at home to Hearts tomorrow, not an easy opponent by any means. Fantastic result for Scotland this week, with two players, Lana Clelland and Lisa Evans both from here.
  8. If anyone is at a loose end tomorrow afternoon...
  9. Some more good news from the womens side. Rebecca 'Bexi' McGowan, (who scores a beauty of a finish to a well worked goal in the video below [video starts at the goal] ), has been called up to the Scotland U19 side for friendlies against Belgium at the end of the month.
  10. Good to see Gary being given the job http://www.perthstjohnstonefc.co.uk/news/post/communications-and-marketing-announcement
  11. Thanks to those who voted and helped Jade win https://www.womenspremierleague.co.uk/news/mcdonald-makes-st-johnstone-history-first-women-win-player-month/
  12. Our Captain, Jade McDonald has been nominated for the June player of the month competition. If you could take 10 seconds to vote for her at the link below it would be very much appreciated. https://www.scottishbs.co.uk/potm
  13. Having gone 2-0 down away to Kilmarnock yesterday, the side came back to win 3-2. A fantastic result and Saints now joint 2nd (3rd on goal difference) with 21 points. There is a break in the league now and back on the 5th August at McDiarmid
  14. From SWPL2 there is one automatic promotion place, which will go to Motherwell. They've brought in a number of players who have SWPL1 and International experience so just too far out of sight. There are though two relegation places, with a team dropping into the First Division North and First Division South. 1 Motherwell FC 11 9 1 1 47 10 37 28 2 F.C. Kilmarnock 11 6 2 3 18 12 6 20 3 St Johnstone 11 5 3 3 20 21 -1 18 4 Glasgow Girls FC 11 5 1 5 19 26 -7 16 5 Hearts FC 11 4 3 4 15 14 1 15 6 Edinburgh University Hutchison Vale 10 2 4 4 15 28 -13 10 7 Aberdeen F.C 11 2 2 7 15 27 -12 8 8 Central Girls Football Academy 10 1 2 7 16 27 -11 5
  15. Really should have been keeping this thread a bit more updated. The womens side currently sit third in their league, two points off second place after 11 games. Where it would be good to have the support of those here is voting for one of the womens' team in the Player of the Month competition for May. Rebecca 'Bexi' McGowan, who is a Scotland Under 17 player, is the only player from our league, SWPL2, to be nominated. The POTM works by players being nominated by their opponents that month, and then shortlist is open to a public vote. If you could take the time to click the button for here it would certainly be much appreciated. https://www.scottishbs.co.uk/potm
  16. This again is where Saints lost out. The Season 16/17 Kit was a shocker and the club could have cleaned up. If they re-released the Bonar /Tartan / Teal and Magenta / 65 Shades of Blue efforts that year the club would have made up money where Campus and TTL lost out when people werent buying shirts - and ended up selling them off for a tenner or fiver at the end of the season. The 82 top was what £40 and came in a presentation box witb the pre-orders well in excess of the minimum order quantity. The 90s shirts would have more people who would still wear a shirt to games and in most likelyhood sold more than the 82 one. If we can't have some of the classics a home / away / third kit then the club should have them as a separate line. They're aware of how well the 82 shirt did, but again, a easy way to have made cash missed.
  17. There were plans maybe a year or so ago to increase the shop size and also move the ticket office down there as well but they fell through. There is not enough demand other than start of season at launch and run up to Christmas for a shop to be staffed full time and be financially viable. Having a dedicated section in Campus as present makes more sense. Since they have started selling souvenirs on behalf of the club the sales have gone up. While Campus can lose money if a shirt is a stinker (as with 16/17) and being left with stock when shirts were custom made and higher initial numbers required; it is one of their biggest sources of income and a shop selling shirts at the ground may not be good for them.

    MKM has been rumoured.
  19. John Paul McBride scored from about 40 yards against Fulham (i think). It was the only thing of note I remember from his time here.

SSE of course already sponsor the womens team.

His deal was one year plus option of a second. Heard a while ago he wasn't doing it for a third. All comes down to how much Saints want and how much someone is willing to offer.
  22. Not sure about Admiral, but don't expect to see Macron anyway. Pity, as Macron is pretty decent on the whole and they have a huge range of kit.
  23. This is a typical Thursday for PA Friday announcement, surely can't be far away from finding out who it is.
