So many ifs and buts just now... but I'm far more confident now that we can at least make the gap between ourselves and St mirren respectable at the end of the season. We still have some VERY tricky away days to come - county, hamilton, dundee, st mirren being the main ones IMO - but if we can play like we have done at times this season then there's no reason why we can't pick up atleast 10 points from those 4 games. Think we've got to go all out to win the league this season in all honesty. Next season we'll have Gretna to cope with as well as the usual suspects at the top this season. If county can beat them on saturday and they win they're game in hand... They could end up catching them also. It'll certainly be a test of St Mirren's bottle in the next few weeks.

Used to quite like the SSP but ever since tommy sheridan left they've lacked the punch/ideas that they once had. Seems to me that they're just looking to get some publicity/pick up some of the pro-british vote that'll exist mainly in edinburgh/glasgow. SNP/lib dem is the way to go anyway.

Such a shame Obviously didn't make much impact here at McDiarmid but he was potentially a decent player. Good luck to the big man

I do, however, believe he runs the club very well... and we should all be very thankful that we have someone who loves the club as much as him as chairman just now. I'd guess that Stevie is the one being trained up to eventually take over.

McCluskey is a fantastic player... whether it be a loan or a permanent deal, we need to do whatever it takes to get him on board. Spoke to a few people about him before and I've seen him play and we all share the same opinion... he's got a great future in the game and if we could get him at this stage he'd help us no end. I quite like Morrow also... Think he's Hibs number 23? Very fast and scored a cracking goal this time last year against dundee in the scottish cup. I do remember being frustrated with him at times though... He'd do everything right up until the final ball and he'd do something stupid. Still, definitely worth a punt at this level. Can he play on the wing PH?

McBreen I believe is a target man... so that would be beneficial too IMO... we're crying out for a target man just now - so many long balls and with Jason not wanting to mess up his hair and Savo being so small, its a bit of a waste. Is this a rumour you've heard Hazel? Or a suggestion for a player? I was discussing potential signings with someone the other day and McCluskey was one I mentioned then.

Not surprised to hear that tbh. They looked a half decent outfit at McDiarmid... only a piece of magic from Scotland seperated the teams that day. Realistically, 10 points is what we require in my opinion. St Mirren have a much easier run than we do (if my memory serves me correctly) so we have to pick up the same points as they will at least. We'll see - I'm still cautiously optimistic about our chances of at least giving them a half decent fight. They are a very tough nut to crack that

I think we've gotta take atleast 10 points from our next 4 games, which is very do-able... and if we can keep the gap to 7 points or less going into mid January I'll be quite happy as I feel we'll strengthen most of all the teams at the top of the division. Of the next four games, I'm probably most concerned about Airdrie away... they seem to be doing well at home this season... picking up some big scores along the way. Our goal difference is in our favour so I don't see why we can't at least challenge St Mirren and make it difficult for them. I think we'll have a better idea of our chances after the window.

Wouldn't want Hannah any where near the team... but I think we're gonna have to play him unfortunately. He's rubbish... but the only player who can actually tackle of the remaining fit midfielders. Actually, why not try someone like McManus... he HAS to be a better option than Hannah, surely?
