So much better from Scotland last night. Even though it was a 0-0, I thought it was one of the best games of the tournament so far.
It seemed to be the players who didn't start against the Czechs who were among the best performers. Pity they couldn't have played like that in the first game - they'd be in a brilliant position now if they had.

Just put Rooney on at 31mins... Minute later, scores. Simples. Bars were great in Melbourne this morning (5am), plenty of Scots fans & good party

I Agree 100%. We were passing about haplessly across the back line and the midfield were getting nowhere. They worked us out quickly and made the most of it. In fact, i'd say Scotland played worse than Hibs in the cup final!
To be honest, when Clarke picked the squad and omitted Rooney and Kerr in favour of the likes of O'Donnell and Hendry I lost a lot of interest in Scotland. I get that loyalty and experience can bring a lot. But as a country, we need to be picking the players playing the best football. If winning a cup double is seen as "lesser" than being at 8th place Motherwell and being a Celtic reject playing at an average Belgian team, then we are fecked!

Unfortunately, we can only imagine it at the moment. Like, I can only imagine that Kerr would not be trying to take hapless pot-shots whilst leaving the back line open for them to get a break. And that Clark at least learned from the Shankland incident that you shouldn't be too far off your line. But, ya know, the other boys that got the nod had "experience" apparently!

My first saints game was a 1-1 draw V Ayr in 1995 when we were mid-table in the first division. i knew from that moment being a saints supporter was not gonna be glamorous. But if there is one thing being a Saints fan has taught me is never take anything for granted, never be complacent and never give up. Even in moments when i cant be arsed with football, i know i will always be a Saints supporter.

Nice of the rangers to put on a party for the troops the other day. Least they could do after not paying tax for so many years! Money which could have been spent on armour, equipment, healthcare and rehabilitation for armed forces personel.

I don't have a season ticket currently as i cant commit to one due to work patterns, so paid £24 for the Rosenberg game and will pay £25 for the game against Minsk. Its not often that we see saints in Europe and it costs the club an arm and a leg in expenses to take part especially when having to travel to far flung places such as Belarus so i can understand why they have put prices up a little. IF we get to the group stages we will see a cash windfall that will set the club up for years to come. But regardless of where we get to, i will always be immensely proud of what we have achieved so far this season.

However its no great surprise that as a result of prices, there was a poor show at todays game against Hearts as many simply cant afford it, especially if they are pay at the gate and non ST holders. Regardless of Euro football, attendances at all clubs will continue to suffer due to overall pricing.
