    Work Ethic

Is part of the problem with saints not, that some of the players are the wrong side of 30 and possibly if we made better use of the possession that we have during the game, then fitness would not be an issue. Finishing a game the stronger is fine but if we are not getting the right result then it does not really matter. I think part of the problem is the slowness of the midfield and the link between the defence and fowards.

    Alan Main

I can't remember him having a problem with crosses, other than in his very first few games where he made a few howlers.

    Coyle Must Go....

I've booked a visit to the opticians. Might walk to this, safer. Midfield a priority and right back. Think Weatherson and McCluskey could do a job down the wings if given the chance. Probably looking at a loan deal to see us until January.
  4. Letting Roddy go the first time! All the above about Totten, McClelland, Sturrocks contract.
  5. I think it was a case of Parker getting booked for diving when he was fouled, the trend being started by Hugh (no 1 my arse) Dallas.

    Coyle Must Go....

Colye must go? Is this a footballing decision based on the Carlisle United how to muck up your season directors manual. 3 points from 9 is maybe not the best start, but pushing the panic button after 3 games is nuts, and would set us back further no matter who we brought in. 33 wins to come!! Swallow an optimism pill!
  7. Dougie MacDonald no letting Dasovic on after he was injured at Ibrox until Ferguson had run half the pitch to set up Rangers goal. Rangers injured players walked on the pitch when the liked (funny that!) Baldy Rowbottom sending Parker, for nothing off against Hibs when we lost 3-0. There's two many to remember, especially against the Old Firm!!!!

    Alan Main

Did he no fluff a punch in the first half, probably dented his confidence. Maybe his old joints are stopping him from jumping. That Dundee no 9 was huge and built with cement, i;m no surprised he stayed on his line.
  9. Its a six pointer on Saturday! The trophies aren't handed out until May! Its a marathon (or is that snickers now?) season, not a sprint! We've a number of new signings and once the team gels the difference will be seen!
  10. A right back is definitely needed given the goals we lost on Saturday and the fact that Lawrie is not up to the job. A younger central midfielder, as Sheerin and McInnes seem to get slower everytime i see them. I don't think another striker is needed and given that money is probably tight defence and midfield should be a priority
  11. Mensing expendable, i don't think so, given the level of perfomances last season and how Coyle tried to keep him. As for Lawire, he was rubbish last season and unless he has had a wake up call and is a changed player then expect to see us overun and losing goals from crosses coming in from the right hand side.
  12. Pre season freindlies against small teams are one thing, but when the pressure is on things will be different, especially if Lawrie is playing, and if James and McManus go to sleep which they did a few times last season.
  13. I think Scotland and Mensing will be big misses. Scotland scored goals for 2 seasons and we have not had a true goalscorer for a number of years. I think Mensing was a much improved player last year and put in alot of good performances. The players we have brought in are young and will either be a hit or a miss. If John Stewart continues the way he has started he may get us few goals and it might make Peaso wake up! I would like to see one or two more experienced midfielders to cover for Sheerin, McInnes and Hardie. But until the season starts it is difficult to compare. Ask again in 6 months, when we are top of the league!
  14. With the legendary commentary of David McKinney, say what you see!!!
  15. Slowish midfiield with McInnes and Sherrin. OC choosing tactics we cannot play 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 (Lost twice to Airdrie) Usual injury curse Second quarter slump Away day blues Given all the above, i still think we can win the league. SPL hear we come!!!
