John Barnes took up the role and promised us players with Premiership calibre and lots of wheeling and dealing through his contacts... the season kicks off on Saturday, and we have a 17 and a 19 year old defender who have played 0 and 10 games respectively... another youngster on loan... they are defending the goal of a 19 year old on-loan goalie... he has made only one signing that wasn't already arranged. The club ending up on e-bay sums up the situation just now... Peter Johnson (toffee bassa) is trying to sell and thinks having us in the media is more important than success on the pitch... I feel Barnes is there for the raised profile and little else more. That said, I'll be backing him to the hilt, but will never forget his "these things even themselves out over a season after another shoddy, soft free-kick saved Celtic's ass at McyD! What makes Roddy such a legendary player?.. His ability at the levels we played was good, but we had many more who were better... I think a lot is down to the cult element... and that was largely down to the fact he was a normal bloke who loved doing what he was doing, and everyone could connect with that... we had an affinity with him... I can't see us getting the same affinity with the Doc...

I thought when we signed Darren Jackson, my ability to back a Saintee might be hard for the first time, however, I was soon able to move on... The thing is I merely hated Jackson, I detest Neil McCann with passion. Everything about him boils my piss... I would be gutted if we signed him... but would no doubt end up supporting him. I hope I never have that quandry though.

Keep your neb out!! Yeah, very nice lad, and I kept him entertained at the Airdrie game at the end of last season. He's got a one year deal, started out wide, moved through the centre... defo looked more comfortable in the middle. I wish well with us (plus he thought Keigan Parker was a cock, so much kudos there!)

Agree with all of this, except I hate Celtic with equal venom to Rangers! I also have the added reason that a lot of my mates support United, so have grown to really love beating them but hating getting beat. Dundee was more of a it's what you do as a Saintee, but the last few times we have played them, I have seen a lot of scummy fans amongst them, especially the three pricks that were determined to start on me the day Katy was born... and they had won that one too, marring a great day. I can say I hate Dundee!
