  1. Difficult question, we have Dougie Arnott and Tommy Coyne available but we could speculate all day long on this and still get it wrong. I don't mind who it is ,I'm sure we'll have a great day out in Manchester, it's a great city with great bars and other entertainments:) By the way , what game do you have on Sunday 9th Sept.? thought that was a free weekend due to the Scottish internationals ??
  2. Being the top scorer for the past three years it wasn't a surprise and he did run the show:p for most of the 'Well support there is only "One Owen Coyle":D He is 'Well respected here
  3. He did turn out for us as usual, top scorer once again and this time lifted the Masters trophy as captain beating Celtic 5-1 , Rangers finished last on zero points Roll on the finals in Manchester
  4. Simon had been a target for months. His performance against us when you turned us over was the icing on the cake. Malpas started negotiations in the close season , when he left, Scott leitch was instructed to carry on and sign him Mark McGhee was briefed about him and "OKayed" the signing. He does have the final say on signings. Simon will be instrumental in our new look midfield. This will be my last post on your forum for the time being so, as i said on another post, Hopefully OC will get you promoted this coming season and i look forward to seeing you all at Fir Park in the SPL ( Gretna will make way for you I'm sure ) but hopefully it will be St Mirren!
  5. Possibly to the Scottish First Division:)
  6. Sadly my friend after last season:( not a lot more could be said BUT as the post also said we're still PREMIER LEAGUE and that's all that matters Confident we'll stay up and if OC can keep you lot on track we'll hopefully see you all in the SPL in 2008/9:D
  7. Sadly it's not just from around Glasgow that folks flock to the bigoted firm. I live in Edinburgh and it saddens me to see all the buses going west , how many buses leave Perth for them?there must be a few , anyway the flock from all over. As for our form in the cup you are right , we were worse than poor! but i think the cause of that has now been removed:D so I feel more optimistic for next season And if Mensing is any good then he could be a useful addition .
  8. I wouldn't be at all surprised as this is such a common occurrence! But all said and done , if you couldn't grasp the humour in my post then I'll desist from trying to inject some fun here. As for your opener it takes one to know one...........
  9. It seems to me that you my friend have a helluva lot of shit going on in your life! You just seem to spout shit all the time, could it be because, when you were born your mother dropped a shit at the same time then you landed in it?or you skited off the shit and landed on the floor on your head in a pile of shit? Just remember buddy, we may be "shit"at times but we are Premier League Shit:!:
  10. All this speculation just seems to be media stirred!! It's a known fact that whenever a managerial position becomes available they then throw a few names into the ring with the first names being managers of so called " smaller" teams where the manager is doing great things as has happened with your very own Owen Coyle ( i thought for years that his first name was "CELTICDAFT":p ).Just for the record , on our own site I have voted in our poll for manager choice and i have voted for Luc Nijholt whom I see as a much better prospect ( No disrespect to Owen, a man that I hold in high regard) The only thing i have to say is about your chairman's comments and ethics. He is doing all the right things and making the right noises with regards to keeping OC but he should really refrain from making derogatory remarks about other chairmen or teams. This very thing probably cost you promotion last year as his comments prior to your last game really would have stirred up the gretna players! :| definitely red face time Good luck to you all for next season
  11. I suppose that's why your strip design emulated ours last season
  12. Oh dear, Another person who doeasn't realixe that Tommy McLean is one of the most successful, respected managers in Scotland, building a successfull team that split the OF and -won the Scottish Cup. Scott Leitch fell foul of the dreaded PlayerCoach syndrome going straight into management unlike your own Mr Coyle who had a couple of coaching jobs before he came to you. Still I won't hold that against you
  13. To be perfectly frank with you, I find all this speculation as boring as hell. I also think that our supporters coming on here and slagging you off is pretty childish as are most of the replies from your support. Slinging mud isn't going to decide whether he will join us or stay with you, either way I don't mind. my preference for a manager lies further afield. I am just as happy for Owen Coyle to be our top scorer in the masters again.........
