Delighted to have finally caught up with both Joss and his brother Saul to present the match ball, embroidered captains armband and some signed programmes from Midges testimonial. Just like to say thank you  to all who were involved  on behalf of Chris and all my fellow testimonial committee members for your sponsorship and  also to Jason for  organising you guys and John Walker for kindly donating the ball to the family. There will be an article hopefully in the next issue of the Saints magazine. Probably should not be using this photo  but hey ho..  Cheers everyone.

Chris Millar's mother in law is a star letting us poor folk crash in at the end.
Gutted to have missed a great night.

A great night which encapsulated all that is good at the club. Well done to all who organised it.

As a season ticket holder who didn't go yesterday, I genuinely didn't feel like I missed out tbh. I couldn't make it, but I suspect there will have been a few put off by the absolute horror show of our last home game. Performances aside, I think the problem is more fundamental, the whole set up is incredibly stale. Yes there is good stuff for kids, but not sure that entices many new fans. Going to McD is absolutely no different than it was 20 years ago.
Bizarrely,  the issue with saints is that there is no need for fans to turn up. We're not in a relegation battle, pushing for an honour not fighting for the club's survival. It's all just a bit meh!
What would be interesting is to know how many different saints fans attend each season. Is it c4,000 different fans picking and choosing games or the same 2,000 every week? I suspect the club has no idea tbh.

Real game of 2 halves.. First was awful, certainly entertainment wise. The quality was piss poor from both side.. We had a couple of chances, Samson made one brilliant save. The Midden should have had a penalty but thankfully , the ref, Andrew "diddy" Dallas ****ed it up and booked their player for simulation.. The second half was a totally different affair. I really enjoyed it . Tony Watt missed an golden chance to open the scoring with a miss that will you will have to see to believe, Spoony then opened the scoring before it got really crazy. We got a penalty, Liam asks Tony Watt if he fancies taking it. He does.. and Samson saves it, Then we get ANOTHER spot kick.. This time Liam asks no-one and takes it himself only to endanger aircraft by blazing it miles over the bar. Now on another day this could easily have come back to bite us on the ass but to be honest, St.Mirren we awful, really really awful. Matty Kennedy then sealed the deal after great work from Jason Kerr.. Delighted to get the 3 points and very well entertained in the second half.. #COYS

From the BBC website: "St Johnstone have failed to score more than 1 goal in any of their last 10 home league matches".
Look at the difference he's made just being on the bench.

Very poor display today just glad TW decided to sit off them and not go with an in your face pressing approach or we might have got humpted by loads of goals.

Why does it matter that it's Celtic? Losing heavily is something we're all used to, but being 5-0 down at half time? That's embarrassing no matter who we're playing.

Spoony never put a tackle in all day & his passes went to the other team. The reason they cut trough us was that he can't tackle. He waves his hands about to everyone else & does nothing himself. Tommy must see something in him that no one else does. He is a talented footballer be he ain't no holding midfielder.
Tanser. There are no words to describe him & footballer certainly isn't one.
Joe is not a centre half & should have been a direct sub for Foster but if Tommy did want his captain on the field then it should have been Tanser taken off.

Worth noting that virtually every season Celtic score at least four at McDiarmid Park.
Yet another game where you look at the line up with absolutely no idea what TW thinks. Wotherspoon as the holding midfielder is a stupid ****ing experiment that failed last season, yet he's still attempting it. Honestly, at this stage it feels like it's purely to get Wotherspoon in the line up, as there's no reason you'd play him instead of Craig there.
Tanser far too timid, again, and Shaughnessy hopefully, finally, dropped for that horror show. He's the captain, defensive rock, and he loses every physical battle, never puts his body on the line, and barely says a word. Difference with Anderson there was frightening.
We move on, the manager and players have a run of games that gives them the chance to repay the fans who've suffered over the past months yet still sat through that today.

How many of us sit in the seats whose number is printed on the ticket?
What if someone sitting in what was our allocated seat causes bother?
I’m getting close to telling them no, I refuse to be constantly “managed.”
